Kornet was moving backwards on the back of his foot and Wemby came at him full speed with momentum. Not to take anything away from Wemby here, but I could have bumped LK back in this situation.
Notice LK was taking a step back when Wemby made the contact. He pushed a door that was already being opened from the other side.

The Spurs glory days of Pop-RC Buford (GMgr) are over. Their only saving grace now is having three consecutive no brainer drafts of Wemby-Castle-Harper-Bryant. EYE could have made those picks. GMgr Brian Wright has otherwise struck out. E.g., In 2022, he had THREE FRP. Two of those picks are gone and the other one, Sochan, is probably gone at some point during this season or next off season.
I feel like he may take so many perimeter shots to save energy and reduce how many contact events he deals with per game.

He stays on the 3 point line cause he can't bang with other centers. Never has been a center in the NBA 7'4" or higher who lasted very long. Never has been a player in the NBA who was a ectomorph who lasted very long either. Center is the worst possible position for him to play. So, he has 2 separate challenges to staying in the League. He'll have an injury plagued career and If he plays for 10 years I'll be shocked.

Wemby will continue to take 3's b/c the league has evolved to a perimeter game. So if I am the coach, then the Spurs will be introducing a new offensive scheme to the world: driving big guards and perimeter shooting big men. If healthy, and if G-League Mitch doesn't get in the way, then I see a 6th seed and spot in the WCF vs. OKC.
annoying that people don't try to understand why he's so much better to use on the perimeter instead of complaining and comparing with things they saw 20 years ago, staying on the perimeter fucks up every transition point for opponents
