The Trail Blazers can put together a Top 10 defense this season. If they’re Top 10 Defense, they should expect to make the play-in at a minimum. The numbers and reasons why my view of the Blazers reasonable expectations have shifted.

How much do you think young players' (Sharpe) offense improves while going against such good defenses in practice?
We shed two high usage guys on offense in Anfernee and Ayton. I’ll be curious to see who soaks up that usage besides Deni.

You're often saying that [the royal] we get lucky with our 3-point defense because our opponents just happen to miss a lot of unguarded shots from the arc, but you have also said that we are one of the best teams in running players off the 3-point line and stopping teams from shooting threes in general. Would you agree, then, that it may not be luck when they miss and the reality is that when an opponent stops you from doing what you like to do (shoot threes, in this case) then the open looks start getting more difficult because you may be in your head or just off your stride a little? I know I'm not a pro, but that can happen when I play sometimes
There's some good info in Locked On Blazers but 30 minutes for 10 minutes of good info is not worth it. Better than those other guys who do 2 hour programs chitchatting about the Blazers, though.
Not only I believe our floor is a top 10 defense, I believe we can be number 1. In the last 41 games of the season, we were the second in defensive rating at 111.
In the minutes clingan, Camara and deni played together, the defensive rating was 106! Which is obviously top tier. And adding holiday to the starting lineup and having an healthy thybulle of the bench is just insane.
I can't be more excited about our defense.and somehow I think I'll be even more when the season starts
