I did a whole double take when I heard Lawson Lovering's name. He's on an Exhibit-10 deal and there are no open roster spots or 2-way spots for him. In fact, the name you mentioned after him, PJ Hall, is on one of those 2-ways and, like you said, will likely get playing time early in the season until the other Memphis bigs come back from injury, but Lovering is not seeing an NBA court this year.
