We always seem to make excuses for Scotty. The expectation is for him to be a star and drive winning basketball. Scotty is paid like a top 25 player in the league. I would take more than 25 players before Scotty.
1 Pre-seaon game ? We have 3 years of knowledge. Everyone knew that BI and Scottie played the same space and the laws of physics show that only one can be at that spot during the game. And that is what we saw- 1 point.. We are not paying for a good player.. We gave Scottie and quickly long term contracts.. They were not even the top 10 platers on the court..
He hasn’t developed one reliable offensive move in 5 years. Has has no real offensive skill after all this time. This isn’t a 1 game over reaction, is years of observation. Enough babying this guy, he’s being paid the max to play like a garbage man

The game was just a warm. Darko can use the video to look for opportunities. What was good si that Darko played almost everyone and there was no serious injuries from the game.

I feel like fans expectations are that Scottie, BI, RJ, IQ all average 20-5-5. Someone or probably 2 of that group maybe, but there will be probably 2 of those that have to sacrifice alot and maybe are around 15 points. Maybe IQ is 13 pnts and 6 assists, it isn't necessarily bad. RJ and BI will score, Scottie will average less points than last year. Maybe that's a good thing. Also, I hope people also understand that for Jak to have a good season, it won't be stats this season. Let's just support this team

Barnes showed his elite vision and defence but his shot looked bad. Shouldn't happen in year 5 and hopefully we don't see that again.
The thing people don't realise, is that Scottie was trying to get everyone incorporated, and defend Jokic.
Yes he missed all shots, that's not the point.
It's Sort of like when RJ and IQ got here,
and he took on OG's defensive role. Completely throwing off his energy balance between offence and defence mid season.
Scotty is an athlete more than he is a scorer. He needs to use that to his advantage.He's a strong guy, he should really only concern himself with being a playmaker on the brake and a play finisher in the half court offense. He does not need any ISO possessions. What he needs to do is set harder screens so that players like B.I and Quickley can find him and get him easy buckets. He's a bad screener and that is affecting his production in my opinion
He can be an yearly all-star without question. The only question is, will he be a Giannis type all-star or an elite Draymond type all-star
