Durant and Sengun complement each other on a high level.
More than half of Durant's point involved Sengun.
Having Durant on the court means less double team for Sengun. This opens up space for Sengun to cook like a master chef.
Sengun also directs Amen's playmaking in fast break offenses.
Reed doesn’t play well when amen is on the floor
I do t worry about defence nobody plays defence in preseason
No doubt JD Davison is honestly much better than Reed, Holiday, Tari, and Tate; and he's the only player who should be on the court…
These four players are completely destroying the Rockets' offensive flow on both ends of the floor and can't defend either the three-point line or the basket, which is unacceptable…!
The Rockets should be get rid of them immediately and replace them by at least one or two solid bench players..!
I was watching reed intently for this game. His issue rn is mental, he is not aggressive at all. Its funny because his final statline was okay but if you compare to someone like JD Davison there was a clear difference in aggression and assertiveness. Im not selling stock yet but reed definitely isnt ready to start. His defence isnt disastrous like some make it out to be but his lack of size is glaring.
Amen’s handle is still very suspect so tbh i think were going to struggle for the first month if the season because we literally have no point guard. Playmaking by committee will take a while to figure out. Sengun is literally going to have to be the point guard and off the bench maybe JD Davison carves himself out a role.
I was happy with everything else though. Everyone is either where i expected them to be or exceeding my expectations. Im just so sad about this Fred thing because our roster was so perfect with him
The offense looks like a full blown functional offense finally. This is a great sign. Hopefully the defense improves and stays similar to last year. If so this will be a contender.
One thing Alpi is doing in these games that is not being talked too much is the sniping long distance single handed passes Jokic is known for. He didnt do this so much last season. He did a few in EuroBasket and a lot in these two games
Everything works flawlessly without Jalen. I wish him a good career in Phoenix.
This year should be Jabari leap. With Sengun and KD commanding so much attention, Bari should at least average 16ppg
Offense looks way less clunky than last year. Alpi and KD chemistry is already thriving, I think they are going to be electric

The results were not always there, but you saw the processing from everyone, they are looking to pass a lot, way more than last year. That's good and leads to efficient offense.

If Alpi can average a triple double, can he win MVP ?
If any of our starters hurt themselves playing all out D in the preseason I would lose my mind. The FVV Bahamas incident is enough pain.
If Alpy had a guy like KD backing him up last year, he would've averaged a triple-double easy. Houston’s starting five looks solid if they stay healthy, but no way they win a chip without a real point guard.
Be on the lookout Jackson. In the same way that we created our own defense last year in the playoffs with such high level zone with the double big line-up, we may end up creating or inventing a high level offense that no one has seen before, when everyone is maxxing out, in the playoffs. I can't wait.
Big 3? Nah we have a big 4, Bari arrived
