Only one game but liked what I saw from Hugo. He and Boucher did a nice job upping the tempo and Gonzalez looked hungry to learn. Something small to build on for him going forward.

starters: dwhite, jb, sam, boucher, neemi
bench: pp, simons, hugo, minott, garza
depth: baylor, walsh, tillman
with the rebounding issues, we need more athletic players and size out there.

stock down: tillman, walsh, baylor

You can’t take anything away from this game other than poor rebounding as they played the end of Memphis bench. They should have won by 50
Gonna miss kornet screening on rebounds. Tatum got a plethora of rebounds thanks to kornet boxing out. Celtics will suffer without him, big time.
I can’t lie. I’m losing faith in Jordan. All this talk in the off-season about aggression and I didn’t see him up in any ones business on defense.. then extremely hesitant offensively. no hustle. I think Joe saw it and sat him down

Off the bat, JB looked extremely impressive. Garza showed too many flaws defensively and Hugo looks like he has a lot of upside.
Really keen to see Simmons next game and yeah… we definitely need a big.

I was pleasantly surprised to see how ugly is wasn’t. This team feels well ahead on their chemistry and understanding of the philosophy. Garza showed what I hoped he would. Minot was much more affective than I anticipated and Hugo has me saying Baylor who?
Let me say this and say it loud! Sheierman is a much worse defender than Simons. The Constant mentioning of a 20 point scorer being a bad defensive player makes you sound like a effing rested and inept personal thinker. Does someone help you get dressed in the morning? Tie your shoes for you? Stop saying stupid stuff that is literally about to be proven within days. And I will heavily remind all of the dumb asses who constantly said this before they watched the guy play 1 minute! You think Pritchard is a better defender than Simons? You need a diaper.
Hugo looks like our best young wing already! Looks more comfortable and smooth with the ball than schiermann and Walsh, we should be excited
We should’ve been Waived (Jordan Walsh) him and Tilman needs to be traded.. They have been a waste of roster space the whole time with the Celtics
Why didn’t Jayson Tatum play? I skipped out on a funeral just to watch Tatum be on the court for the first time this season 😞
Our team is going to be hard pressed to win 40 games. The lack of size and minus #0 most outcomes won’t be in doubt. No size in the middle will be a highway for lay up after lay up from whoever we play. The best thing to do is go trade for a bug from any asset to you have. If it means trading away White, then you do that. No big in the middle means bad news.
I know it's super early but I'm going to say it, Hugo Gonzalez will be the best rookie so far that Joe mazzulla has had the pleasure of coaching since he became Head coach of the Boston Celtics!!!
