Reed has a low floor but very high ceiling. He will be really good once he gets comfortable and gels with the team.
Fully healthy? He broke his hand.
JD Davison is better and not much older
Reed Sheppard reminds me of Jimmer Fredette
Rockets do not need players with " potentials" . They are playing for championship this year and need someone like Ace Bailey who can contribute right away even though he is only a rookie.
steve nash/john stockton
I have the same hopes for Reed and wanting to be able to look back at Fred's injury as a bittersweet opportunity that allowed Reed to blossom. Idk what kind of stats people are expecting from him, seeing as how we have so many players that are going to fill the box score every night. There's only so much stats to go around every game. Of course he has to bring his 3-pt percentage up along with those numbers, but I think his real value to the team is his defense, and too many people do not pay enough attention to realize how good he is defensively. He's almost never out of place, his hands and feet are extremely active, and he hustles. He lacks height like Fred, but he's not as strong as Fred, so I think we'll see him get pushed around by bigger guards more than we want to, but he'll have his fare share of steals and deflections. My guess for averages is 13p 4r 4.5a 1.5stl .5blk 3to 2.5pf 36%3 38%fg
They wanted Green to take that next step and he didn’t so this season Reed is gonna get his shot to shine I believe he was gonna get his shot even if Fred wouldn’t had gotta injured
I think patience is whats key. Reed needs to feel the pressure of being in a role that is depended upon. For all intents and purposes he wasnt last year. He wasnt in that pressure cooker situation he had the rookies grace and more experienced teamates ahead of him. For all intents and puposes when reed was called upon he livered and played well. He had some stinkers which
In my opnion are growing pains.
My last cents: When your young like green was and how shep is and are expected to be some sort of leader i think the mental angst is there depending on the kind of player/person you are. I think Jalen green dealt with the youth issue as well. Reed will get over his indecisiveness and indecision when faced with pressure. Its youth and its hard to grow into a role of being a leader of experienced men when you yourself probably sees yourself as there kid brother or something like that, its one one of those things mental and kind of requires being pushed into the pressure. I think if reeds the real deal as far as his shootings concerned and he gets no yeps he will be fine.
FYI, newsflash, Reed is not a pure point guard like FVV…. sure he passes the ball but you wont see him avg more than 5, 6 assist a game
Reed is a bum will be completely shutdown by OKC
Yup I think Reed gonna get minimal minutes again if FVV wasn’t injured. Hope Reed does break out this season.
Kevin love 6’6 😂😂😂 6 or 7
I expect him to be very aggressive like this all season long. He needs to be with the Fred acl.
