If barnes score 30 points next game(which he did many times before), everyone will praise him. People are so quick to judge.
Scottie is best used in the Draymond type role. Not the #1 franchise guy but a top glue guy. A 3rd or 4th option who does a little of everything.
I’m most happy with RJ, he looked really good out there. Scotty, I hope someone is in his ear. He needs to bring that offensive energy early. BI looked like he never left, he was moving smooth, he looked confident, very happy with his first game. I’d like to see JS run the point with the starting 4, he looked solid. CMB will put pressure on SB, and either bring out the best or the worst in him. Good start!
Spacing is an absolute glaring issue like I have been saying. 10/41 from 3 is absolutely unacceptable. and scottie looked absolutely horrendous.
More reasons why we need to keep RJ on this team cuz the only guys that’s being inconsistent is the two we’re paying the most IQ and Scottie smh
RJ Bucket will lead the team in scoring. I loved what I see from him.
Gradey Dick has too slow of a release with his shot mechanics, he rarely gets off open looks and almost always has a hand in his face. He is a great shooter when open, but doesn't seem to be a good shooter when covered.
It’s just a preseason game. Who cares what the stat line is
1 game and people are losing their marbles. It will take all 6 preseason games to get teams in game condition.

Raptors have an all-in move – Scottie for Giannis. But, in terms of BI, I think it was the 3rd quarter where he was in with a bunch of other guys and brought the game back to a reasonable distance. That's something Scottie has to learn.
You could tell Scottie was just trying to incorporate everyone, and take the shots that were there….sort of like when RJ and IQ joined the team.

RJ looks like he did work on his game, he looked good. Our bench is going to be headaches for most teams.
I remember when we traded for RJ and Manuel quickly everyone was concerned about how RJ Barrett would perform on our team and that he was the biggest concern. Then he goes on to have a career year averaging career, highs and points assist and rebounds while IQ was restricted from injuries. Now he looks like the liability if he doesn’t turn things around, she could be next to get traded jamal shed out played him

Scottie is a trade, Quickly is a trade and we desperately need quality big men.
Dick is not consistent and Quickly at $35 m per year is a bust.
What's obvious is Scottie has to crash the glass and play a PF game to get his offence this year. You'd rather have the ball in BI's hands, in RJs hands, or in Quickly's hands because they can attack off the dribble better and shoot better. If he insists on playing a perimeter game instead of playing to his strengths then he is the 4th option and won't get touches. He has to be a great off ball player who sets good screens and makes the right cuts and he has to get the ball in the post or this lineup won't work.

Scottie Barnes ( Year 5) — still plays like a kid with a highschool attitude , clapping infront of bruce brown and showboating , act like youve been here . Looked confused when BI had the ball . It doesnt register in his head that your now getting paid 50+mill a season . You have ALLOT responsibilities
RJ barret – Still a car coming downhill with no brakes . Has improved 3 point shot . and Still sucks on freethrow line
BI- looks like a player that will score allot but wont take over a game and demand the ball in critical moments .
IQ – Same bullshit . trying to look for that running gun 3 shot . This team needs a Point Guard with a Jose Calderon Playing style
JakobPortl – AGAIN . This guy will be the MOST IMPORTANT RAPTOR . He is the glue for everyone game . lol and its so funny
RJ is the standout on this roster! Scottie has a lot of improving to do! Keeping RJ must become a reality

Thing is , rj has had to play with better more dominant scorers his whole career even in college. So he knows how to get his while being a #2. You saw it last night with bi. Barnes looks like he doesnt have a clue how to complement a better scorer without being the one off ball and thats gonna be a big issue. His lack of shooting ability might also cause spacing problems but this might be a big reason why darko wants to run so much and avoid playing a hslf court game. Just get ready for when brandon gets in actual game shape and in rhythm. Dude dropped 19 on 50% shooting in 20 minutes after not playing in a live game setting for 10 months. Even more impressive considering this is a new team with teammates hes learning on the fly. He saw a ton of double teams last night as well . He had that stretch in the 3rd where 5 straight possessions he either scored a bucket , got to the free throw line or got someone else an open shot that they made. Raptors havent had someone that can do that in a minute

I said this from draft night and I'm going to say it again. I saw this in action in this game. CMB needs to play the backup 5. He just fits that well defensively. If he plays the backup 5 with Mamu at the backup 4 to space the floor I'll feel really good about the bench.
nobody's talking about Sandro, for a 6'11" who can slash his way to the ring for his size, he's very agile. A 3pt bomber and can ditch a nice assist. He can be on the first team. He's the whole package and we got him for a bargain.
