  1. I agree that the Suns will be better this year. I predict that they will be a top 10 defense, an excellent offensive rebounding team, and a lot more fun to watch. They will be borderline playoff team if things fall right. They are a young team, so player development is key.

  2. Losing KD is obviously a big dip in talent but I think apart from the 4 spot they got significantly better in every other position in their starting lineup. No matter how you slice it, Jalen Green at age 23 is a better piece on an ascending team than Bradley Beal (sad to say that as a DMV guy but it's true, plus the albatross in playing in front of a home crowd that harassed his wife and kids) or Tyus Jones. Mark Williams is an upgrade over Nick Richards, and Khaman Maluach raw as he is, is an upgrade over the aging Mason Plumlee in case Mark misses some time. Helps that the FO finally got the message in how the league is moving towards younger coaches as the 10 year "phase out the old coaches" moment came in a big way the last couple of years league-wide.

It helps that their rivals in the West are already starting to thin early on with injuries to key players in Memphis, Dallas, Houston. The Suns could jump out early and surprise people which gives them enough of a cushion to stay in the Top 10 as those other teams get bodies back.

  3. I’m a die hard suns fan and I’ve been out on the Booker era suns since the 2022 mavs meltdown. Booker is a second option that we constantly try and put in the 1st option role. I honestly think Booker is the equivalent of Jamal Murray and the suns just got lucky in 2021. I think we’re gonna win under 30 games this year. We need to trade Booker while his value is high

  4. Imo, as a Suns fan, I think they'll win roughly around the same number of games as last year. They won't have the effort and duplicative skillset problems they had last year but the drop in talent and the fact that they still have a size problem (they have no big wing NBA vets) means they'll face just as many issues, just different ones than last year.

  5. talking about free agency when it doesn’t really exist anymore. not for major guys. but chris paul, kevin durant, bradley beal, & jimmy butler all requested to be traded to phoenix in the last 3-4 years. the appeal is still there

  6. They seem to have this obsession with playing Devin Booker at point guard….

Like yeah he’s fine at point, but you definitely get the best version of him when he’s playing shooting guard.

  7. We lost KD – but we were not tough enough with KD and Beal – bringing in Dillon Brooks, refocusing on Defence and letting Book Cook – it is going to be a good year for the SunS!

  8. Honestly I think the Suns have the makings of a Dark Horse. It's possible that they could just start firing on all cylinders at just the right time and make a playoff run.
