The defensive starting lineup was nearly unfair. Rodman, Mike and Scottie are all top 10 defenders all-time. Ron Harper had been a 20 ppg all-star, and he turned into a defensive specialist while there. Thank God they didn't have a real rim protector at center or they'd have consistently held teams in the 60's. They were the first NBA dynasty not to have a dominant big man on either side of the ball. Didn't matter. You couldn't dribble around because Scottie's arms are 20 feet wide. You couldn't throw passes cross court because Mike was the best sniper ever and Scottie also had a nose for undercutting the passing lanes. You couldn't just dump it inside because Rodman could throw any big man off their game (except Hakeem) and then cover any wing you need him to as well. And if you manage to get a shot up, it better go in, because Rodman is going to get the rebound if you don't.
