I will say to raptors fans that BI is the best passing wing not named LeBron or Luka.
The issue with barnes is he has no offensive bag and isnt a shooter at alll. Which brings his catch and shoot ability into question because hes gonna get a ton of those with bi. Weve already seen rj work off ball and get wide open looks from double teams on brandon. Rj is very very good at working off of a primary scorer. Scottie needs to show he can do that
I also dont agree that bi isnt an exceptional playmaker. You dont average about 6 assists a year 5 straight years without being pretty damn good at it
It amazes me that ppl never saw this fit coming… the way RJ plays He is more than gravitational and he is actually the glue in darko system. I’ve seen RJ grow from he arrived… nothing I see today is surprising 🦖
Playing without force, agreed that is SB biggest issue, always has been when he chooses to he is a all star player. He needs to play every game like that
Sean cant see thru his bias. We’ve seen RJ adapt his game everywhere. From playing with Randle and Brunson, Team Canada, even with Scottie and Siakim when the trade first happened. RJ is a basketball player in every sense. He can just hoop. He can adapt his game to fit anyone.
Brandon Ingram is a top 5 playmaking wing in the league… you must not watch enough film on him but you will see

By far BI and RJ are the best players on the team it’s easy to see it’s just weird to me how every time you bring up RJ you talk about defense but when bringing up Grady who you wanted to be a starter his lack of defense is never brought up lol
Realistically RJ has spent his entire career adapting to a star player on his team and at one point had to figure out his spot with both Brunson and Randle.. when Randle went down in the playoffs, just spent time as the second option and helped lead the team past Cleveland working the two man game with Brunson. And Brunson is someone who really likes the ball in his hands.. Barnes has the most to prove strictly because of his contract… it will come down to either him or Ingram mainly due to them being “similar” in a sense players. They will need Barnes to be a defensive anchor though to be successful but only time will tell if that’s the role he wants to play or if he would rather been seen as an offensive player. It’s harder making it to the all star as a defensive anchor unless you are in the running for DPOY. I love quick but he’s also someone who we still
Don’t know who he is in the NBA. We know who he is as a bench player when he almost won 6th man of the year but he also needs to figure out what his game really is
