Let 'em hate, then the PTB can fly a bit under the radar. My line is .500, because at this point in the '25-'26 season, a 41 win season would be fitting and an improvement.

I think you’re over complicating what you said in your previous episode. A top 10 defense makes at least the play-in or playoffs 90% of the time. It’s that simple. if they’re a top 10 defense, they’re gonna win at least 40 games. The median wins over the last 10 years for the 7-10 ranked defense is 43 wins.
I think the analysts likely overestimate how important Simons and Ayton were to the team. They see Jrue as being a too-old replacement for Ant and Yang as too unproven and young to replace Ayton. Most Blazers fans believe the team is better off without Ant and Ayton and that Jrue and Hansen are just gravy that can only help.
The truth is probably somewhere in the middle.

I just don't get the pessimism and vitriol when it comes to Portland with the national media. Since I started seriously following the Blazers a few years ago, all I've seen is awful mock trades, drafts, and season predictions. They're angry if we win a trade, they're angry to see us get a high draft pick, they're seemingly angry to see us succeed at all.
What's everyone's problem with us?
I like the fact that Coach has most of his pieces. The rotations, the pull to plug and play become important. Close 4th quarter games and pulling the right, or wrong strings Coach could be a +/-5 to 10 win/loss.

i still find it fishy they could legally hold the blazers hostage basically when they are currently partial owners in the kings
