Depth is the only cure I know for injuries, and Mavs can give AD the advantage of not banging up the entire night, all season long. Meaning we get Healthy AD. I can also make a bet he will be tanking and making more threes at a higher rate! Why? Dallas has size to get second chance opportunities. Whenever AD played along Dwight Howard reason he was not injured is guess what??? Howard banged against soe Bigs while AD had to guard bigger forwards on perimeter. AD can play center some nights but having that much depth behind him frees him up, gives him more wiggle room. Coop is also already showing signs he is a good rim protector. Let's Goooo Maaaavs!!!!!!
I feel like our depth is so underrated, they’re going to destroy other teams bench. I feel like that and our defense will be our safety net for when the offense isn’t hitting consistently. Being elite at points of turnovers, a top rebounding team, and our bench outscoring ur bench almost every night. If AD and Flagg are hitting 3s goodbye, obviously they’ll be streaky for different reasons but I do think Flagg will become more efficient as the season progresses increasing that win condition. IMO I do think we will end up trading gafford just to increase our flexibility with AD playing like a hybrid 4/5 Chet role. But we’ll see maybe AD will thrive at the 4 like in 2020 and we can keep our big depth. I’m probably delusional and subconsciously coping but I feel like AD is about to have a okc Paul George type year and a lot of ppl are sleeping on him just because he played next to LeBron, nobody remembers he was leading his own team to the playoffs and was a top 5 player once upon a time.
