    Who is going to trade for them even if trade value is high on them. If there old. I mean they would have to add picks to make teams want to take them on

    This is a dumb take when you realize that nobody is really going to jump in and trade picks to compete unless they are stupidly believing they can make the East run to a finals appearance. Best case scenario you get some involvement of draft capital for sabonis, but everyone else? (Plus you are trying to assume that the Kings know what they're doing when they've traded tyrice halliburton already)

    There’s another way to look at this.
    Sabonis is a great player and if he’s team was a top 2/3 seed he’d get serious consideration for MVP.
    Lavine is one of the most efficient 3 level scorers in the league.
    Russ and Demar are not what they were 10 years ago but they’re veteran presence will sure be felt, Russ has often been compared to Fox so they kinda replaced Fox within a year without giving up too much. And Demar is still very clutch and his half court offence can be lethal (especially in the play off when teams shoot less 3s)
    Speaking of 3 point shooting they have Keegan Murray who they’ve just resigned and he can be that MPJ type player for them.
    Off the bench they would have Malik Monk and Denis Schroeder, both guys who got considered for 6MOTY in the past. And they also have Keon Ellis who can help defensively.
    My main concern with this team is defence, and maybe bringing in someone like Franck Vogel or even their former coach Mike Brown could’ve helped them in that department. My other concern is also their coach. Dough Christie is still very early in his coaching career and hasn’t achieved much yet. Also their big man depth can be looked at as a weakness but they have Dario Saric who can do a decent job.
    Theres 2 way this could go- everyone buys in, Russ and Demar prove to be great veterans, Lavine and Sabonis ball out and have all star years, Monk, Ellis, Schroeder and Murray play their role effectively, and Doug Christie proves to be a competent coach that can install a defensive identity to this team. In that case I can see this team being a top seed in the wide open western conference and bring the levels of success not seen in Sacramento in years.
    The other way this could go is injuries to Demar and Russ due to their age, poor lineup selection not knowing who to start as Russ, Schroeder and Monk are all good players, but there’s only one spot left in the starting lineup. Also Keegan Murray could decline his production as his development has somewhat plateaued over the last year.
