Crvena Zvezda grabbed its second consecutive victory under new head coach Sasa Obradovic – and third in a row overall – by topping Real Madrid 90-75 in front of an outstanding sellout crowd in the Serbian capital in Round 5 on Friday. Both teams now have a 3-2 record in the standings.

Codi Miller-McIntyre and Jordan Nwora paced the winners with 18 points apiece. Miller-McIntyre added 8 rebounds and 8 assists. Chima Moneke added 15 points, Semi Ojeleye had 13 while Nikola Kalinic got 10. Chuma Okeke led Real with 16 points while Mario Hezonja added 15. Real led 20-31 early in the second quarter but Zvezda used a 13-2 run to return to the game and get a 43-39 lead at the break. The hosts boosted their margin to 67-53 at the end of the third quarter and cruised to a well-deserved victory.

    Al equipo de baloncesto le ha pasado como al equipo de fútbol. Su núcleo ganador se ha desintegrado. En ambos casos tiene jugadores de mucha calidad, pero falta ese gen que aportaba garra y sacrificio en momentos difíciles. No sé… Visten la camiseta del mejor club del mundo, pero no me da la sensación de estar viendo jugar a ese club. En cualquier caso, Hala Madrid! ( Y enhorabuena a Estrella Roja. Nos han destrozado).

    Ne mogu da iskreno slave pobedu tudjmanovi naprednjaci zato što je Zvezda pobedila Real. Boli li kada nam sa 27 miliona eu naprednog budžeta gledate u ledja ? Još par kola i ide opet priča da ne volite fudbal i košarku nego rukomet i zvezde granda.
