NBA GM Survey Rates Minnesota Timberwolves HIGHLY | Anthony Edwards, Chris Finch STAND OUT in Survey

Ben Beecken (@bbeecken) breaks down the most surprising additions and omissions and why the general managers’ takes vary from your average national pundit.

  1. Jaden McDaniels got my vote for favourite defensive player of the league,

And I hope that he improves even more offensively, involves himself more offensively & gets involved more with handling the ball offensively.

(I believe everyone is a ball-handler & I think McDaniels is already quite good with it)

McDaniels is also very talented as offensive rebounder, which is very important for Minnesota.

So I hope Finch tells him to stop standing in the corner waiting for the ball & instead cuts in towards the paint, so he can score towards the rim if he gets the ball passed to him or rebound offensively if he doesn't.

If he stands there on the three point line,
He ends up being too far away from the glass to get involved with his offensive rebounding talent.

*Minnesota is 6-0 in matches where Jaden McDaniels scored more than 25 points.

Let's make sure McDaniels gets the chance to score 25 plus points then if our goal is winning.

  2. If I had to choose between NAS & TSJ,

I'd choose TSJ in a blink of an eye.

Have You seen this guy in transition & going to rim? I have no doubts he will be a very good or even great rebounder, the sky has no limits. Defensively? Yeah, he will get good enough for a championship team.

He is more or less the same age as the others of the Young core, so he fits perfectly within the timelines of the Wolves,

  3. Key takeaway: The GMs don't have to perform fellatio on the big-market teams to get paid, and therefore have a much more objective outlook on the wolves.

  4. The Thunder are not fun to watch. It's like half-an-hour of back-and-forth free throws at the end of games instead of just letting the other team attempt to score. Anyone who thinks the Thunder are fun to watch is part of the ratings problem imho.
