The ONLY positive I'm gonna TRY and take from the preseason is this…the Grizzlies are the ONLY team in the NBA whose whole starting roster that ANYONE has YET to see on the court!
My take is there's no way in HELL they would be winless.
Helluva lot to look forward to once the team is close, let alone at full strength!The Grizzly starting players should be hyped as hell for the season to begin!
The team will just be a 500 team this year in my humble opinion. You have new coach, new players, adjustments, and still injuries. The weakness for this team has always been injuries to their stars. Ja's always been injured throughout his career. I know it, you know, everyone does. JJJ is a very good player, but he ain't a superstar caliber player. If Ja and JJJ play +70 games this year, hell yea, Grizz going to be good. If less than 60 games, look at a below 500 team. I know everyone wan't to be optimistic, but lets be real. Last year, I remember we were saying we going to be 82-0, going to great season, and poof, we fell like a rock near the middle of the season. I had high hopes a few seasons ago, but reality kinda sinks in now.
Hopefully OMax works out, looks like he can guard 1-5 and if he hits Catch and shoots 3 and can be the roller, that would be great.
Handles – Ja/Pipp/Ty/Small/Spencer 2- KCP, CC, VW, Mashack 3- Wells, Jitty 4- JJJ, Santi, GG 5- Edey/Jock/Hall 4/5 – Clarke/Omax — At some point, the 23-game limit or whatever on 2ways will free up a roster spot for Mashack. But this roster should be good, hopefully, the offense starts clicking more. It might be hard to press and do this offensive rebound strategy. Why do all of that pressing if we are giving up transition buckets, but I hope that all of this hard work amounts to something.

@Grizzlies Daily I agree that we really have to work on those turnovers. It pisses me off!! A good pass is a good pass a bad pass is a bad pass no matter how fast you play. As far as playing hard I don't fully agree. I think last season we only played hard early if, things go right or late 3rd quarter or the 4th quarter when we decided we wanted to wake up. It seems like we'd get 50/50 balls only 30% of the time. Those are definitely things we need to clean up as well as taking better shots and getting to the line when the shot isn't falling.

I like what I'm seeing from Coward and Landale. The Grizzlies need to start Coward next to Wells next game. I don't see an upgrade in defense from KCP. Maybe KCP coming off the bench would be better.
