  1. Why don't you talk about how… Lauri, Ace and a top pick next year could be amazing for the Jazz. I don't think he's getting traded.

  2. Sometimes I think these so called NBA analysts forget every NBA Team has to spend 90% of the cap, the Jazz have to pay players and right now that is Markannen

  3. So, Lauri is not actually 4-5, he is 3-4. Also he was trying harder shots and more iso last season -> numbers went down, also he was sitting a lot -> out of rhythm, also when he played, it was usually against the better teams -> no easy numbers to get.

Also Delta Center is actually steeper for basketball now because the new riser systems.

And final point I can remember out of my head: Why they don't try to trade Lauri and why Lauri is not asking out? They and he believe that they can turn this ship around faster than national media believes. They don't want Ace or whoever is coming need to carry the team alone without very good players. So Lauri is that very good player to play with.

  4. Bunch of nonsense and BS, none of those shity packages it's worth a damn for the Jazz, Lauri has 3 kids and DONT WANT OUT….. etc this is just bad reporting 😊

  5. as a life long jazz fan. I will say this. national media doesn't seem to understand. 1- the reason signed the contract for such an huge amount was that the jazz rewarded him for staying throught he rebild. the jazz can afford that contract for it's duration. 2- the reason LM signed one day after the contract to make him untradable is that he really likes living in utah with his family and children. and I hate to say it.. not all players have winning a championship n the US at their top priority – usualy it's family. and I think he would be happy with not winning if he can have a good place for him and his family and make 46 mil a year on a developing team and 3 the type of player LM is even though he's 7 foot. he's molsty s shooter.. so the outlook is that his prim window is open longer than most so he can hold through this for 3-5 years. esp on taking teams when they don't push his performance. that said. – they jazz is a well managed team and they are listening to any offers for any of the players. So this kind of reporting seems one to be from one sided conversations not from conversations with the jazz and I think that unlike some teams the jazz have always stated pretty clearly their stand on LM.

  6. I agree on trading Lauri making sense, and that Utah’s FO has somehow failed to maximize the rebuild/tank.
I disagree about overplaying their hand “last summer.”
GSW, et al, did not have viable offers.
Utah’s mistake was waiting too long to trade him, after his breakout season (22-23).

If Detroit is the team, Ivey is not the guy. Ausar is the guy. Why would Utah want a largely unproven, combo guard, on an expiring deal? They wouldn’t. They are already dealing with Keyonte.
Tobias Harris, Ausar Thompson, Marcus Sasser (for the extra salary, if need be), and picks, would be the trade.
If that’s a no from Detroit, so be it. Utah cannot afford to sell low on their biggest trade asset.
So just continue the tank this year, make sure that you don’t lose your pick to OKC, and then revisit the Lauri trade in the offseason.

  7. Hah. Jazz insiders: they aren’t trading Lauri. Jazz FO: we don’t want to trade Lauri. Media: they are trading Lauri like now.

  8. Why? Because a Talking Head thinks it? If teams ran their teams the way guys like this think teams would win maybe 20 games a year.

  9. Lauri is going nowhere. There is no team that can give the Jazz anything as good or better. He will be 30 when the young core starts hitting their stride.

  10. Isnt the story that the Jazz have been tanking for four seasons and haven’t got anywhere, and in that process they have destroyed Lauri’s career. When will the NBA head office punish the Jazz for tanking?

  11. Media always unnecessarily dogging on the jazz.
Markkannen is a perfect fit for where the Jazz currently are.
He will be on the team the next time the Jazz make the playoffs

  12. Its gonna be so enjoyable watching the Jazz win a chip with LM on the roster in 4 years from now. All these "analysts" will look like the true dummies they are for saying some of the stuff they been saying lately. #keepdoubting The young core we got right now is about to shock some people

  13. Here's the scenario: Jazz get a top 3 pick this year. Next year they compete for the playoffs. Markkanen then makes perfect sense. Just wait one year and see what happens first.

  14. You folks are missing the point on Lauri. He loves living in Utah. If he wins playing in Utah. That's a bonus. Stability for his Family is more important.

  15. I'm going to break from the rest of the jazz fans here and say we should trade Lauri. I didn't like the Golden State trade because I'm not a fan of Podz but the Detroit package would be pretty sweet. Also I believe Lauri functions in the offense much in the same way Ace does. He's going to stifle his growth. If the return is decent the choice is clear.

  16. Il est trop chĂšre pour ĂȘtre Trader. Le Jazz fait toujours la mĂȘme chose en espĂ©rant que les rĂ©sultats soient diffĂ©rents.
