I’m not sure how aj lawson will find minutes with our current roster but he’s a great guy to keep if the spot opens up later
Just trade Barnes and Mogbo
CMB seems to play a very physical game, so he is naturally going to pick up little injuries. Hopefully, nothing that keeps him out long.
Good move, if there are injuries and you call him up , Lawson will repay your faith in him !!!
AJ is above a lot of the younger guys but I believe the raptors want to give them some time and space to see what we have. Once the decision are made, and moves are made, AJ will have his time.
Glad they managed to find a way to keep him.
How aggressively raptors play no way they will stay healthy
First thing I thought when Poeltl left the game last night was " I am incredibly worried about that ninth guard spot."
Very glad we shored that up.
Now, if we can just get rid of the last couple tall guys, we are set!
They are hard to see around. They eat more than a smaller player. Their hats are freakishly big. Better to just lose them.
Poetle hurt? They also reported Scotty was hurt but he played great the next day.
The starting 5 are not as aggressive defensively so hope they use a very deep bench.
We should sign angel reese to toronto tempo haha
Take the injury reports with a grain of salt. Its just a way to rest the players. The other day Scottie was injured, and the next day he played and gets 30.
Can Garrett just retite already and give him a job witb the coaching staff, and use the extra roster spot for a 7 footer.
Jak isn’t hurt – I think you will find Raptors will continue to be deceptive on injury front here and there – it was the last preseason game and they had in covered-they are going to keep running Ochai out as he’s being actively shopped as he’s a good player; trade eligible extension eligible and an RFA at at end of season – he has to go because extending him fairly isn’t possible without a significant cap increase that isn’t coming.
And we saw them do just that. Run Ochai extended minutes. Expect that to be a theme. Rumour is Pheonix is already scouting him and were in the building And that’s why he got extra minutes out of position to show versatility. I would expect this trend to impact CMB and reduce his time start of season so he’s better in second half and has time to work on his shot. With Flagg going to Run away with ROY there is no pressure here to do anything but what’s absolutely best to develop him. CMB is showning good signs and the bring a lunchpail mentality our fanbase loves – but he too is absolutely a work in progress with some flaws the assistants need to help him with right now.
Done well Ochai can net a future first and a bench big in return.
Of note Precious was just waived again. If the raps are truly desperate he’s a cap friendly option they can just barely slither into their remaining space and exception room and they have the roster spot now. I don’t think they are desperate yet though.
So glad we have AJ
I should have known there was a second half to this narrative; he's just too good to just let go.
I'm still baffled as to why the Raptors decided to keep Temple on the roster
and not Boucher when Temple is getting paid more money than Boucher.
If the Raptors wanted Temple as a coach then they should have hired him as a coach and
open up a roster spot for Boucher.
Among reasons to keep Boucher:
Boucher always gives 100% effort on offense and on defense.
Boucher is Canadian.
Boucher was the last player from the championship team.
Boucher is entertaining to watch and entertainment is what attracts fans.
Boucher can in desperate situations step in to play center against smaller centers.
The Celtics seem to want to use him as a center a significant amount of the time.
The list in this video shows that the Raptors have only two centers.
We've seen the struggles of the Raptors when Poeltl has been injured
and he's already injured now before the season has even started.
And as good as he is Poeltl is not the sort of player who will
play 40 minutes a game even when he is healthy.
As nice a guy as Temple may be paying him as a player when
he's barely going to see any minutes on the floor
when his main job will be coaching
and thus taking a roster spot away from Boucher makes zero sense.
I suspect that by the end of this season Boucher will show clearly
that he's a more productive and valuable player than Temple
and that Raptors made a mistake in getting rid of him.
Though I doubt that Raptors managers and coaches will even notice.
No offense meant to Temple – I'm sure he's a very nice person and a good coach and mentor and that when he was younger he was a valuable asset on the floor.
no fantasy league this year?
Ben is the 16 year old girl in the Raptors media space. This is as basic as it gets.
If there were a report about what a Raptor player's fart smelled like, there would be a 10 minute vid.
What do you actually provide? We have Twitter, we're on Reddit, too. We've seen it, too.
I miss Ryker. The channel was fun when you guys had discussions, and a back and forth debates. The content has been stale for three years. Just reporting Tweets in video form, with nothing to actually say.
We need to get back Rhoden, Raptors organization stay doing this guy dirty, it’s been at least 3 years we have him on the training camp roster and then waive him
We also need back David Roddy Rich back, and Oliver Sarr, if your gonna waive👋 chomche it only makes sense to keep Sarr, he’s a legitimate 6’10 6’11
