I agree 100% Brunson, our true savior as a player, can be quite unselfish at times. He takes way too many shots last year, which get other players cold. He needs to be Championship Jordan that set up wide open shots for Kerr, BJ Armstrong, etc and the Bulls were unstoppable then.
Bring back Achiuwa as the 5th Big, especially with any injury concerns. Achiuwa is a good player to hold down the fort while our other Bigs recover from injuries.
Any time you say "wouldve" and "if" to start a basketball statement everything that comes after is 🐎💩
Time to trade Josh Hart (get us further below 2nd apron) and get a back up PG that can run an offense..Dennis Shroder type PG.
Give Diawara minutes this season. He is a live body, athletic, plays defense, consistently takes open 3s (unlike Hart).
The play fast talk is a bunch of bullshit! There is no way that the Knicks are going to start two behemoths like Towns and Robinson next to each other and at the same time play faster than they played last season. Those two things are diametrically opposed. Knicks homer fans need a lesson in common sense. Yabusele doesn't look like a play fast type of player. Anunoby doesn't look like a play fast player. You have to have the right type of players if you want to play faster. Jordan Clarkson can probably play faster, but all that playing faster will do for him is make him even more inefficient than he already is. Clarkson is nothing but an inefficient chucker who has never significantly contributed to winning at any point in his career. All of this play fast talk will be gone by December 1st, and it'll be back to Brunson pounding the ball and trying to be a hero with his biggest concern being getting his own while Bridges and Anunoby are left standing in the corners just like last season.
You basically saw this play out in the last preseason game against the Hornets. It was a pretty typical Jalen Brunson performance. Score like crazy getting 31 points and then you look at the box score and realize that even with Brunson scoring 31 points, the Hornets outscored the Knicks by one point while Brunson was on the court. WTF good is Brunson if the Knicks are losing on the score board when he's on the court? Go back and look at Brunson's stats from last season. He always scores a bunch but quite often his plus minus is negative (sometimes quite a large negative). How is Brunson always such a liability on defense when he's surrounded by wing stop. I looked it up for you all. Brunson posted a negative plus minus in 30 out of 65 games played last year. That's your Mr. Clutch. It's all a mirage. Did anyone ever stop to think that maybe if he played better defense, he wouldn't have to win it for the Knicks in the clutch all the time? It's called common sense. Try it out sometime.
Feel like Clarkson and Hart might be our only liabilities entering the season… Clark could shoot us in the foot with his eagerness to SHOOT… and teams know Hart can’t SHOOT🤣🤝… if KAT can limit his habit of getting into early foul trouble what’s stopping us? But us????

Knicks' big claim to fame last year is making it one more round than the cavs and losing to the same team. The key difference is cavs missed games from 3 of their 5 best player's and had mitchell wear down as a result. Knicks lost to indy at full health. I dont know who makes it out definitively but i do find knicks fans over confidence about being better than the cavs is pretty silly. The cavs dominated the knicks 4-0 in the regular season and won those games by like 20ppg on average
I'm afraid that Knicks fans greatly overrate the team. The starters are not fast and athletic. And if Hart doesn't start, I don't see them playing fast. So, how does Brown see them playing fast? Not good when a coach doesn't understand his team's strengths and weaknesses.
Brunson will again be ball dominant because no other starter can handle the ball. They definitely need another point guard. Deuce, Clarkson and Kolek are not the answer. Kolek can't handle pressure on the ball or defend. He is also too small.
Defensive problems still exist with the starters, like last year. Look at what Sexton just did to them. They still can't defend the 3 and they can't stop fast, athletic players. So once again like last year, bad teams will play them evenly to the end and beat them sometimes.
Clarkson and Yabu are bad defenders, which is also concerning. This team was not well put together, the way that OKC was. We don't have balance with offensive and defensive players or other 2 way players, like OG. If Brunson is injured, or OG is injured, the Knicks may be a .500 team.
