Got to love VJs confidence.
It’s important to remember we didn’t pay PG to be his former Superstar self, he was brought in to be the perfect missing piece to contend.
And with Embiid back alongside one of the deepest backcourts in the league, it’s not hard to see his role at forward gluing those 2 positions together.

One thing i see…they have had a very good defensive camp! From the starters to the guys fighting for a spot…the hands were very active. I like that initial lineup and would be okay seeing it during the season. I also felt the rotations were spot on…. Perhaps bringing in Drummond a little earlier during the season…Did Eric Gordon play? Plus, looks like McCain is still injured. If i’m Nick Nurse, i would NOT let Maxey and Embiid dictate how long they want to play. This team has got really hungry young players, so i would limit Maxey and definitely Embiid’s minutes! I’d play Maxey a maximum 25 min for the first couple months.
A healthy Edgcomb, Grimes and McCain along with Oubre and Dominick Barlow is a force! I like the progression of Bona and Drummond still looks good…although i’d rather have Dwight Howard or Javale McGee!
PG if you be .75 PG y’all can be something.
