Ace Bailey has had an incredible NBA preseason, and his development could decide a lot for the Utah Jazz this year, including possibly trading Lauri Markkanen.
Trading LM would be dumb lol you already have him locked in long term why not develop Ace on a rookie contract at the same time 🤔 could easily be your 1 and 2 options 🤷🏿♂️
As a Jazz fan I have literally zero concerns about Ace or his mentality/whatever people want to criticize him over. Yes, the draft process was weird, but honestly we should be grateful because that's what allowed him to slide to us at 5. Literally no one said anything during last years draft when Alex Sarr denied workouts with the Hawks because he wanted to go to the Wizards at 2. Ace himself was great in interviews, but all the drama surrounding his agent Omar Cooper (who really isn't even an agent, more of a mentor figure) and the workouts undermined all of that. He's done all the right things since coming to Utah, including firing Omar Cooper which is something a lot of people seem to miss.
Everybody so excited about the Jazz trading Lauri, when Lauri is a perfect fit for Ace's game, and the idea is to win, not to tank forever by only having one better than average player. When does it end? Keep Lauri, get some serviceable vets, find some hidden undrafted gems, and start trying to compete.
The only reason I would consider trading Lauri before the draft next year was if a team came to them and offered a stupid good package for him. I would definitely not be shopping him around during this season
jazz arent trading lauri. dude has 6-8 years left of prime hoops. plenty of time to develop ace in the same system. love the vid. ace is 1 lauri is 2. Danny ainge is far smarter than any of us. lets just wait and see.
I always said Ace Bailey was the best prospect in this draft. Got a lot of doubts after his tantrum, even more after landing on the Jazz, but now… I'd say RotY for him…
This is the problem about the media and content creators. They'll go putting up the hype to such players to the point that low IQ fans would raise their expectations. Then, when these players didn't play as good as they have expected, the hate will start to kick in. Which would then lead to pressure and lack of focus. After which, they'll call them BUSTS. I know that you are doing this for a living, but you're ruining the new players' career without us seeing them play in the regular season. What a waste of content.
As a Jazz fan I'm gonna tell you that I totally agree with you when it comes to Ace he is killing it and seems to be a key piece. However, Markkanen isn't gonna be traded I'll guarantee you that. And by the time the Jazz are starting to be in playoff contention He will be on this team as their 3rd best player behind Ace, whoever the Jazz draft this next draft, and then it'll be Markkanen as the 3rd option Utah isn't trading Markkanen he's a key piece to this team.
The west will be a bloodbath this year. The Jazz can try to win games and probably will end up somewhere around 25-30 wins. Ace Bailey sounds a lot like KD, a good/great scorer who doesn't need the ball. Obviously I am not saying Ace is the next KD here. But how about trading Lauri to someone who has too many lead guards, like Detroit or San Antonio. Wemby+Lauri would be insane, and if you could get back Dylan Harper and salary…maybe take on a bad contract or two, how enticing does that become if you get a good lead guard prospect and a few picks?
I can name five players on the Jazz simply because I actually like some of their young guys. My two favorites outside of Bailey are Sensabaugh and Filipowski. Sensabaugh had a terrific second season shooting the ball. He gives you high volume 3pt shooting on good percentages, which will always have value. And from what I saw in Summer League, he looks to be improving defensively. Filipowski had a very promising rookie season and in Summer League looked like the best player in all of Vegas. It's not clear if he can defend anyone, but his level of versatility as a shooter, ball handler, and passer at 7 feet is unusual.
Apart from those two guys, you've got Kessler, who I still really like even if he seems to be undervalued by his own team. And you've got Hendricks, who is a bit of a mystery box due to injuries but has the potential to be an elite defender. Lastly, you've got guys like Collier and George, who would be really good if you could combine them into one player.
I think there's the makings of a really good team in a few years if Bailey is actually a franchise player. If they get a top 3 pick in this next year's draft, they might really have something. I'm hoping they get Peterson, since they're already loaded with forwards.
Bryce sensabaugh and keyonte George are about to become regular names in the NBA. Isaiah collier and filiposwki will become great pieces for the Jazz this year. So when you ask can I name other players I’d say yes because I’m not a moron 😂the Jazz are stacked with young talent. Ace is gonna have to prove that he’s the guy because there are at least 3 other guys trying to get that title. Taylor Hendricks, Cody Williams, Kyle Anderson, Svi myhailuk, Walker Kessler, nurkic, k love and the minivan. I love your videos but you make basketball content and you can’t name more than 5 players 😂 geez on top of that they grabbed ace, Clayton jr. And John tonje in the most recent draft. They looks like they’ll be fine
Kid is already dealing with Tendinitis in both knees after two preseason games. Not a good sign. Probably why he didn’t work out for any teams ahead of the draft. Tons of talent, but I would hold off on his potential if his knees are already a problem.
There are really only 4 legit bad teams (and one of them are the Pelicans who might be good, who knows). The Jazz aren't going to win enough games to worry about losing their pick, they've said repeatedly for years that the only way they'll trade Lauri is if a team ponies up a haul for him, and Lauri will be a perfect 3rd man behind Bailey and whoever they get next year (*Darryn Peterson please!*) So no, they're not anymore likely to trade Lauri now that Ace is showing flashes than they were when he was drafted.
And most fans couldn't name 5 Jazz players back when they were making title runs in the 90s, so that's a moot point. Their roster is better than Brooklyn and Washington, potentially even Charlotte, Portland, and New Orleans. If they really wanted to they could win 35-40 games this year. But they won't, they'll still make stealth tanking decisions to ensure they're a bottom 4 team.
I dunno why you are pushing that he didn’t wanna be in Utah. He said himself he likes being in Utah, his former manager is the whole reason that rumor was even created. Just kinda shows you just follow the hype train and report for clicks, not factual information.

First time I've watched your channel. I'm one minute in and done. You've got to move out of the frame … you should be a little box in the corner.
Kessler, Hendricks, George, Sensabaugh, Williams, Filipowski. That's 6.
He never said he didn’t want to go to Utah

Lauri does not affect your draft picks. We all know that the draft is rigged
