    Fire Nico, that's what the Mavs need to do. Until we get new ownership/GM I won;t be able to fully move on. Having Cooper is incredible and I'm very grateful for that.

    Mavs fan first always, but the trade still hurts.. not sure if a championship is even enough to make me forget (maybe it softens the blow) just cause luka was such a personality outside of basketball

    But hell no i cant even think of being a lakers fan ugh…

    Tell us, didn’t the Lakers and Nuggets last year “prove” that you need a top offense, not defense, to finish high in the standings? In other words, if you can’t score you can’t win, and if you can score, especially in crunch time, you can win. To win championships, on the other hand, you need to play good defense and have a top closer on offense (e.g., Luka). Do the Mavericks have both? The hope is that Cooper quickly develops into the closer that Luka was early in his career (when he first was named first team nba) and is today?

    as a Lakers fan how do you mavs fans get used to the no defense and ref complaining? for i AD i can say just don't focus on him or think of him as a star, he's not a highlight factory like luka is

    Offensive Ratings for those Top 8 Defensive Rating teams below.

    Mavs will need to be at least an above average Offensive Team to hit the over. That's consistent with what you and Nick have been stating.

    If we can get 65+ games from AD and Kyrie is 85% of himself for at least 30 games, I think we are at least a 6 seed.

    We need to tamper our expectations given Kyrie's injury. 2026-2027 is the year the front office should be focused on.

    If they don't win a championship by 2027, I wouldn't be surprised if both Kyrie & AD are traded to reset around Flagg, who would be 20.

    I am trying really hard to be as passionate as I was before but Luka is the reason I am a MAVS fan. I’m not a Dallas native, I was never really into sports until Luka. I’m not ashamed to admit that he’s the reason why I was so proud of my mavs team. I wasn’t a fan during the Dirk years until Luka reignited that spark for us. I am always going to be a MAVS fan but I am

    No, there is no "curing." I'm enjoying Cooper Flagg and Anthony Davis. But I also despise Nico for that trade and I hope he's fired at some point. These are 2 parallel things, one is not "fixing" the other.

    Flagg can't fix this. Luka was loved in Dallas and people will still be mad about it decades from now, same as Chicago is still angry about Jerry Krause losing Michael Jordan. They boo'ed his widow to tears 25 years later.
