First thing, thanks for the review. Second thing, this design has been released in baseball through several releases. Imo Im sick of the design and wont be buying much basketball because of it.

I love your analysis, however, the wildcard for hobby and jumbo boxes are the silver packs. These contain the chrome version of the 1980-81 Topps insert and typically have parallels and autographs. The checklists look really great.
Unfortunately, Topps never releases odds for the silver packs. Juiced silver packs could be a game changer.

Crazy thing about the Target exclusive Black Friday Value boxes… they definitely should not be hard to get. Production on those is about half as much as regular value boxes, about 13.5k cases compared to about 27k cases of regular blasters, which are ditributed among many retail outlets. Meaning- there are a ton of them and no one should have any problem acquiring any.
Also, you probably don't need to resort to secondary market pricing of wax on your value sheet. There are mountains of every format produced. Nothing, aside from possibly hobby SKUs, will be hard to acquire at MSRP.

Youre correct on the Diamantes. Print run is ~2800ea. Not 30k as stated. Looks like a typo on their end.
Fanatics had a product drop on hobby and jumbo that started today. $239 jumbo and $119 hobby if I remember correctly. I figure Topps will do the same on the 23rd.
I pre ordered 1 jumbo. Shipping notice came today.

I’m able to get two hobbies for 380 should I do that or one jumbo
