Mavericks GM Nico Harrison and Mavs head coach Jason Kidd will have a decision to make regarding the Mavs roster at the start of the 2025-26 NBA Season. With the Dante Exum injury and Brandon Williams injury, the Mavs have to decide whether or not to elevate Ryan Nembhard from a two-way contract to a standard deal. On the two-way contract, Nembhard would only be available to be the Mavs’ backup PG for 50 games of the season. Will The Mavs end up cutting Dante Exum or Brandon Williams in favor of keeping Ryan Nembhard on the active roster?

Mavs head coach Jason Kidd on the Mavs starting lineup:
“I think defensively, it’s fine. I think offensively, we can get a little stagnant because we have so many mismatches to play one-on-one. And that’s not who we are. We want to cut. We want to use the pass & we just didn’t do that in that first 6 mins. I thought the 2nd half, for us to play the style that we want to play. It was an improvement.”

Ive said it once and ill say it again. Flagg at the 1 will do nothing but stifle this team and his growth. Just let the PG we picked uo play PG. Thats too much responsibility early

As much as I hate to say it, they should cut Exum. Able bodies are important.
Man do your homework. Williams played last night and still looked like the quickest PG on the roster. They aren't cutting him and eventually he'll start
I am a reluctant yes on cutting Exum. Also concerned about our inconsistencies . Hopefully we continue progressing !
The Mavs should keep Williams because of what he's done last year providing the Kyrie 2.0 factor and we need that speedy guy. I believe he played last night in 4th quarter and he looked good in the few minutes he got. CUT EXUM NOW!!
Cisse, Banton( Like what I saw from him), and Nembhard should be the 2-way locks. Miles Kelly could as well, but they should keep him in the Gleague.
What would make all the difference for the Dallas Mavericks offensively would be to sign Nemhard to a contract with the Mavericks and somehow I get away from that two way deal if that’s possible

Once again nice topic. We all saw Flagg getting juked out of his shoes attempting to chase a smaller and quicker player. We are lucky he was not injured. Kidd needs a kick in the butt for putting Flagg in that position. If you looked at the faces of our assistant coaches it was like who's going to tell Kidd. The season will be over before Kidd will figure this out. I would not have renewed Kidds contract just yet. We know he is a likeable person and can play the game, but as far as being one of the great coaches in the NBA, well let's just say Kidd is always making questionable decisions and cannot coach just any player. Nembhard got plenty of floor time, but B-will matched what Nembhard did in just three minutes. B-will is the best point we have and if you paid close attention last night you can see that no one can move the ball like him or attack like him. I don't think Kidd wants the fans to see this because it would quickly put a hole in his Flagg playing the one theory. Kidd is still learning out there let's not get it twisted. Either he makes the move to start B-will or give him significant playing time pushing our offense or, are season could be damaged beyond repair after the first 25 games. A decision will need to be made when to go to a faster line up and step away from ISO ball. Yes, that faster line up could be comprised of B-Will, Hardy, Marshall, Kelly and Lively/Moussa. Just saying, this line up could run some teams off the court catching them off guard and drawing many fouls. Go Mav's!

Brandon Williams is the closest thing to Kyrie in this team, I like Nemhard, but B Will is the best scorer. I think fans and Kidd are suckers for names. Brandon. Williams made 5 points in 2 minutes. I like B Will over R Nemhard and if they get rid of him related would be a great mistake but Dallas Mavs front office is known for that…
I think they should try starting Nembhard. At least try it. They had a positive net rating when he played with the starters (without klay). With Klay in that line up (and Ryan out) they had a negative net rating. When Ryan is on the floor everything looks smoother. He runs the offense really well.
Exum should go, Brandon Williams should stay. He’s been healthier than Exum.

Exum is not smart at keeping his health maintained so he needs to go because I think Brandon is too good to let go.
Note: you should learn to be a nutritionist if you are a pro athlete. I think if you are a professional athlete and you do not educate yourself on how to maintain your health and you suffer deficiencies due to a lack of poor nutritional choices then that is on you.
When I hear that an athlete is always injured the first thought in my mind is poor diet and or a dumb ass that is getting told wrong information by a doctor since most doctors are stupid when it comes to nutrition they are just awful. We all have a need to take better care of the body with nutritional supplements. Bad decisions that put your ability to play at risk make you a liability to the team in more than one way. For one your a greater injury risk and for another you are lacking the obvious smarts needed to maintain the culture of being ultra healthy a culture that encourages team mates to spend time learning how to use the best of the best products to super charge ones body. A team mate that has good health educates his fellow players on how to use the right nutritional supps that are not garbage like most supplements are. Seriously 99% of the vitamins and mineral supplements are pure shit and worthless.
This kind of education is something you cannot get from visiting with doctors. WHY? They have zero smarts and education on nutrition that is antithetical to their way of doing things because if you stay healthy then you will never need a doctor and doctors are there for sick people so if you hang around doctors and listen to them you might end up actually making some bad decisions so that later on you need them. They only treat sick people and that is because healthy folks do not need doctors. Doctors are people I stay away from and take zero health and nutrition advice from. I deal with geniuses that believe in super charging the body so that it is able to live forever and never develop any illness. You need to be a doctor yourself so you can understand how your body works so all of us need to read and study about how to do things that keep us away from the doctors who profit from treating the sick. You let them start injecting you they will never stop and vaccines are filled with toxins that are not good for you at all so lets avoid that shit for sure. Vaccines do nothing for us at all. If you are smart enough to understand the facts about why that is then you are smarter than most of the creeps pushing poisons on us and trying to make all of the people sick.
