I believe the Magic will eventually need to move Suggs to the bench and bring in a true PG who can better facilitate the offense—like some of the guards we mentioned before. Suggs could then shift back to his natural SG role behind Bane, which would really strengthen the bench. It’s tough because of his contract and the front office still seeing him as a PG.
They’ll also need to move on from JI (big contract and team expenses), Jett, and AB unless they can take a big leap this year (adding more bench scoring). Overall, the team’s in a good spot, but a few changes could push them into true championship contention.
The rebrand, jerseys, jumbotron, and new locker room all look great! Excited to see what the season brings! Hoping for no injuries and a deep playoff run! Let’s go Magic!! 💪🏽🔵⚪️
AL! I thought I saw you at the game bro and I went to go say something but I wasn't sure! It was during halftime
9:48 Bill Simmons picked us to win under 50.5. Zach Lowe picked the over. I think we are a 55 win team at least
I think Bane is deferring too much. I appreciate that he's not forcing up bad shots but at the same time he isn't taking open shots and looks like he doesn't have a rhythm when he takes them. I could say the same for Jones. The "hurry up" offense will continue to create unforced turnovers, especially early in the season. AB looks like he's unsure of himself right now. Tristan needs the ball when he is with the 2nd group.
Crazy that our 3pt numbers are up despite Des and Tyus not really contributing yet, great to see the other guys shooting with confidence
Not sure P's ppg will go up drastically but I expect his assist numbers to go up dramatically as he gets more support. I think Franz ppg go up, the run and gun style suits him better and he actually getting to the line
I believe Franz is going to be the Magic's top scorer this season. The Magic bench-unit will be elite and outscore most benches in the league and Black will be lighting it up from the corner spots. The Magic and Knicks will meet in the east finals
Bill Simmons and Joe House say that we won't win more than 50 games. Lowe was the only one that said that we were going over 50.5 games. their criticism was really odd. Bill even doubts Mosley.
EVERYONE OVER LOL bruh
52 wins is low
Important detail to your comment about the espn article: it was simulation number 620 in wich the magic won the title😉
I get the impression that Paolo is lighter and that seems to me a loss in ability to force his way to the basket and at the same time have the requist power to put up the shot. Being lighter certainly has imprived the D. What makes him great is the right combination of weight, power, explosiveness and skill.
Last year we witnessed JI putting on weight and the loss in movement and shooting mechanics.
I hope I'm wrong but I much prefer a Paolo that can do whatever he wants on offence than one that looses that ability to imprive as a defender.
