He's one of the most entertaining players though. I love watching him play

its not that he hasnt mastered it, its that he doesnt give his all or really anything most games. his team is bunz and hes stuck on a 10 year. all time hes played 250 somthing games in 5 years.
Its simple.
If the other players were any good it would create help defence situations that would allow higher % takes.
Lamelo will NEVER be successful, calling him Melo is disrespectful to Carmelo Anthony. He’s a top 75 player of all time. Lamelo has no chance.
That is the problem with street ball players that can not play system basketball. The team will not win enough games to make a playoff run
The thing with LaMelo, is that his playstyle is very high risk, high reward. There's a reason you don't see other players shooting one-legged, off-balance three pointers. It is because it's risky and often not consistent, but LaMelo can pull it off. His problem is efficiency. The Hornets being one of the worst teams in the league, definitely plays a factor as well. I think more chemistry and playmaking need to be built and worked on. we know he can dribble, shoot, and has great basketball IQ, etc.. Idk man, LaMelo is an enigma.🤣
Some valid points were made here but just want to throw out that the hornets went 3-32 when Lamelo didn’t play last year and were actually an intriguing team for the playoffs until he got hurt.
If he plays smarter, takes care of his body, and his teammates are better than g leaguers, he can absolutely make an all nba team.
Sure would be great if you told the WHOLE story about the Hornets season last year instead of telling lies & half truths. You say his stats are confusing, which would be to a person who only watches the highlights but not the actual games.
Why don't you say the REASONS why his stats were like that & why he "started on fire"?! 🧐

Numbers and stats out of context.. before Miller, Tre Mann, and Grant Williams went down he was efficient.. when everyone got hurt his numbers weren’t as efficient teams were double teaming sometimes triple teaming him..
