Y'all are criminally underrating Castle. The Spurs insider Don Harris said that the Spurs top brass raved Castle outside of Wemby has been the best player over training camp and that his game has taken another leap. I am letting you know now he will put all star level production while fox is out. Plus defensively he is elite. It will be fun as the season rolls out and he starts to get his flowers.
Spurs will finish in the top 6 in the West. Wemby will win Defensive Player of the Year AND MVP.
It’s an unconventional construction, but the players themselves are solid and they have great chemistry as teammates

Castle is looking like he made a leap, too. I think he's been really overlooked as a really good player in his own right, and I wouldn't be surprised if he had an Amen Thompson-like break out.

On the original over/under video I commented that I would come back when the spurs win 48+ games this season. Looks like Vecenie is already starting to agree. Glad you have joined us on the hype train sir!
I think in past two years, a lot depended on Wemby. And while that is still true, the spurs depth will hopefully make that less so
Wemby 21, Castle 20, Bryant 19, Harper 19
With a healthy Wemby, the Spurs would have surely finished between 39 and 42 wins last season.
This season, as he explained himself at the media day, Wemby will be much better than during his sophomore season. We can expect him to be closer to 30 points with more rebounds, assists and blocks.
CP3 (completely cooked defensively already last season) is replaced by Fox, the ex franchise player of the Kings.
All young players (Vassell, KJ, Champagnie, Sochan) should improve this season but they are now almost all pushed to the bench and will represent the second unit.
Kornet will add elite rim protection during the minutes without Wemby. This is the main reason why the second unit lineups' NetRatings were so bad.
SA had the chance to draft Dylan Harper, second overall pick in a very loaded draft class.
How can the bookmarkers imagine that the Spurs will only win 44 wins (between 2 and 5 more wins than if Wemby would have been healthy last season) ???
I don't know if the Spurs will manage to directly make the playoffs. What I am sure is that it will be much more difficult to beat the Spurs this year, even for the best teams !!!
Castle will be the second best player on this team. Better than Fox and Harper. Just wait and see
OKC surprised everyone a few years ago being a year ahead of schedule. Houston surprised everyone last year being a year ahead of schedule. Spurs gonna continue the trend. 50ish wins no doubt.
They need to use the style of Tuomas Iisalo – who uses all team members to run a fast game 🎉
Way too much stock in spurs preseason. But Wemby looks scary. A lot depends on the health of LeBron /old warriors and clippers.3 teams with serious red flash injury concerns
They could have been on the playoffs last season, they've just intentionally tanked imo…
This is not a "BOLD PREDICTION".
You did underestimate Wemby…BUT EVERYONE HAS! If he and the core starters are healthy, they win 50+ games and are at least a 6th seed and playing in the WC finals vs. the Thunder.
Who is the Spurs HC? Whoever he is…he's no Pop.

Spurs have too many weapons. Vassell is going to be traded. You don't pay $27mill for a guy whose minutes need to go to Harper and Bryant. Keldon, too. His "D" has always been an issue and Wemby has said "Defense is not negotiable." So I say Vassell and Keldon will be traded for an established, but young, all star SF. But 3&D Carter Bryant is the future.
Spurs will be the shock of the WEST!!! I'm taking into account the FACT..that they will make a significant trade at the Feb deadline! They have the assets= a picks package/expiring contracts and talented depth to go and get real HELP in the frontcourt! SAM you are SPOT on!!!!!!!! Spurs are FINALS BOUND!!!!!!!!!!! Fox/Castle/Harper/Vassell..backcourt…..JC/KJ,Barnes,CB,Jeremy at the forward spots/wings…and WEMBY/LUKE..Da big guys!!!
