This team 😂, our "sg " hit one three all game(and this extense to the playoff cold all game then hit one or two on garbage time). Rui was no show until the back to back 3. Vando is a worst kwame brown. Ayton is not a lob center. Zero bench.
Reaves was MIA, a complete disaster, for 3+ quarters…He did well in the preseason “scrimmages” but in last exhibition match (THE REHEARSAL) & yesterday, he was a NO Show. You can say he shined in “garbage time”…if Lakers continue to overvalue this showtime turnover machine who is consistently a defensive sieve, they will be a lottery team. Smart & Gabe are both significantly better at D. “Big night from Austin”? Really? Did you watch the first 3 quarters? Come on, you’re smarter than that. Are you paid by the Lakers?
Thats what happens when its Luka and a shell of a team around him. Cant beat the aged Warriors at home. No youth athleticism length perimeter defense or scoring punch. Luka wins MVP and Lakes miss the playoffs. Who can they beat? Won't beat either Minny. O-2 incoming

Wiggins IS actually a change that would elevate this team on both sides of the court to contention. I don’t know what everyone’s obsession is with Rui. He’s so much less athletic than Wiggins and all he does well is hit wide open 3’s. Wiggins can do that too and so much more.

If Smart is getting 4 fouls in his first few minutes, it really doesn't help us. Gabe is just coming in for him right away.
We had the same situation in Dallas before of wanting to morph 2 players like vando and rui. In our case it was broekhoff and DFS before DFS became a good shooter. Luka needs 3 and D wings to thrive before the need of lob threat centers.
Smart should be playing like Caruso on this team in the reg season. Off the bench and around 20mins bcos of how he plays and the injury history. What needs to happen is to get a perimeter upgrade using Gabe, Max n Dalton
I’m worried that even bottom half of league teams with good athletes are going to be really hard for us to beat with this roster. Wish I was more confident that Luka and AR is enough but I’m really worried that’s not the case…

AR has a bad ego, he acts as if he’s won championships and has an MVP under his belt and he has none of them. AR continued the trend of STAT PADDING once we are down. That’s not what championship stars do, especially not a$35 million dollar star.

This is not going to be dissimilar from seasons past. The Lakers are going to rely on Luka playing out of this world just so they can try and stay at or above 0.500 and sneak into the Play-In tourney just to see them get bounced because Bron & AD didn't have enough left in the tank and the rest of the roster was ass. Blow it up now. Why run Luka into the ground for the same result? Get what you can for AR, Bron, and everyone else even if all you can get is an opportunity for an organizational reset. This team is going nowhere quickly and the culture sucks. When does the new brain trust take over? Jeannie, Ron, and the Rambii can't leave soon enough!
This team needs an actual big young athlete. It's like night and day watching Aman bully people and then comparing it to our roster with no Lebron where it's all just a bunch of guys foul baiting.

I dont think we can trade our way to a championship this year. We need to improve the coaching staff around JJ and draft a stud in the next draft. This year is player development.
To me the 3rd quarter issue comes from not being confident in knowing what you're doing as a team. So that means either they don't understand what it is that JJ and the coaching staff want them to do, or they simply don't believe in what JJ is selling. Both of which are not good news at all!
The Lakers need a new front office. Especially Pelinka and the Rambi. The silver lining to having the bad season I anticipate is that it will be obvious to new ownership that the front office needs to go ASAP.
Lakers needed that $52M cap space and everything will be okay.
AR, RUI, VANDO, needs to be traded and not to extend LeBron is a must. LA must get GIANNIS
