They played the first half like they were strangers to a basketball court.
Negatives 3 Point D was so bad in the first quarter their hole was so deep they couldn't dig out. Duren's D, bro just hang out with Stewart and get some of that dog in you. Duncan is already showing how much of a downgrade he is from Beasley, still holding out some faith we get him back. We got NOTHING from the 2. We have Ivey and we win that game.
Positives Ron Holland. 1-4, so only .250 from 3, but he was shooting with much more confidence and the one he hit was HUGE. Stewart. Beast. Ausar's passing and ball handling also looks much better. It is such a bummer Ivey is hurt.

When i tell you that i was HIGHLY disappointed with this game. I seen more fire from them in the preseason than this opener. When i saw they were down 23 against the freaking BULLS, I turned this game off. Like They swear they the 3rd / 4th best team in the East? They way they played, they can go 0-5 easy. EASY!
Ivey is definitely missed. He’s not a perfect player but he does provide guaranteed dynamite on offense. You know what you’re getting with Ivey. They need him.

A big issue i see with the pistons is their offense. Plus they lost alot of key reserve players in the off season
Regarding Duncan, it’s tough transitioning from a team that hides you with a zone to a team that plays real defense is tough. You may need to get Chaz or Dania’s in there

So much to say, but a lot of you have already said it. What I will add is that one area I was hoping to see improvement is the end of game plays and shot selection. Cade has been in the league a while now and has had the ball in his hands many times with 10 seconds left and needing a bucket. The percentage of those times where a good shot comes from it is WAY too small. He looked panicked and genuinely surprised that he was going to be guarded tight, and once again took a rushed, low percentage shot that the defense dictated he take rather than the other way around. Then of course Tobias would get the offensive rebound only to think the clock is about to run out and jacks up a prayer. Unfortunately it was amateur hour once again when it mattered most. Cade has some of the best moves and handles in the league and yet those skills are rarely a factor when we need them most. Lastly, several players looked TIRED way too early in the game! Like, not in game shape yet tired. I don't care that it was the first game, they need to be in better shape than their opponents, plain and simple.

Overreactions: issues last year gonna be the same issues. No real creation outside cade. Cade works on everything in the off-season, but waits for the games to get him in cardio shape. Duren cant be asking for 30 mill if we gonna spend half the season talking about effort and being locked in again. And, throw Duncan and levert into the grouping of shooters who forgot how to shoot

Side not, just go get malik monk from the kings so there is an offensive player outside cade on the team
