The Denver Nuggets Could Destroy The NBA

Even though the Denver Nuggets fell short in the second round for the second straight year, losing a tough Game 7, they were still right there on the doorstep of another Finals run. They even held 1-0 and 2-1 leads over the eventual champion Thunder, which says a lot about just how close this team was. What makes it even crazier is that they managed to push that far with a bench that was statistically one of the worst in playoff history, getting outscored by a ridiculous 31 points per 100 possessions. And that’s why this season feels so exciting—because the Nuggets have finally gone out and addressed that problem, and later in this video we’ll break down exactly how they’ve done it…

  1. Can you do a comparison video of who had the better improvement to their bench between the Knicks and Nuggets

  2. Basketball is a team sport. All I heard is that Jokic as great as he is offensively still can’t defend the rim to save his life. Jdubb is better than Murray, chet better than Gordon, OKC is just a far superior team top to bottom

  3. Yo that intro was actually so good it like sucked me into the video right off the bat! Great work my guy

  4. 7:30 Real Denver fans going "Oh no he's gonna blow another one"

gj on finding two highlights of Watson not screwing up the fast break lmao

  5. A more mature and healthy Thunder will be too much for anybody. If there is a team that can best the Thunder in 7 games I do agree the Nuggets are best built for this.

  6. Concern about Jonas!? Jonas will play 10-12 minutes in playoffs, at the most. Aaaand when experienced and skilled player gives you 10-12 minutes, knowing that thats all… his slow feet and not best defense will mean much less. Jonas alone solves 3 big problems for Den… Jokicless center production, Aaron rest, 2nd unit confidence and somewhat jokic-like game plan.

Concern about Strawther!? he might not see more than 5 minutes in the playoffs… and his `decisions with the ball` as a pg – are still less TO prone than Westbrooks.

Nuggets improvements are somewhat `on the margins`, yes… but they are significant improvements on the margins. (except for Jonas – who is a clear cut big solution for a big gap).

BB is, as we know, a TEAM sport… Improving 3 positions somewhat-to-alot, AND closing a 4th – backup center issue is crazy improvement. Because – the compounding effect of all of it will be transformative. Compounding effect.

Nuggets are still a Jokic team, and they will still play Jokic-ball (now, even w/o Jokic)… but Nuggets will be a COMPLETELY different team next season. This is a order-of-magnitude change.

  7. Houston's defense is likely to be far, far better than the Nuggets. As good as Cam is, KD was the trade of the year. Sengun showed how much better he will be in the upcoming season during the Euro competition where he dominated Jokic. Amen has a reputation for being an extremely hard worker, plus he has the dog in him. He averaged 18ppg when he started last year and made the all defensive team. Next to Wemby, Amen is the best defender in the league. Then there is Jabari and Torie Eason.

  8. Denver will not destroy the NBA. They are a great team. But there is a team more likely to go on a run for some years and they reside in Oklahoma. Their core is locked up for the next years and parts can be added as time goes on. Did the Chicago Bulls destroy the NBA winning 6 titles in 8 years? Were not the ratings massive during that time? If Jokic could switch out the players around him now for all the Thunder players, minus SGA he would want that because the Thunder roster is better.

  9. I can barely control my wife… actually I can't control her at all 😂 ….and this evil genius controls FOUR young, well educated females SMH

  10. I think people are overreacting with the Nuggets took the Thunder to a game 7. Nuggets are one of the most experienced teams in game 7, facing a fresh and second youngest championship team. Thunder got better with experience and coming in healthy (JDub, Chet, etc) just wait for the 2peat you’ll see

  11. 3:304:22 This is an argument against Jokic's leadership-not in favor of it. When you have the talent he has on his team, they shouldn't only look dominant when he's on the floor. That means the offensive system they're running is forcing them to depend on Jokic to succeed and will fall apart when he sits down.

It's the same old story that has been done before with Bron, Luka, prime Harden, prime Westbrook, etc. If Jokic wants to have any chance to win another ring, he needs to play in a real team system-not a Jokic system.
