All Hawks fans remember this…Cavs went 15-0 to start last season..they had the #1 seed. In the end..it meant NOTHING…Bottom line..stay healthy and stay together(play hard and unselfishly)! We have a great GM…he will evaluate the team and make any necessary changes or additions…especially when Feb rolls around! LET's GO HAWKS!!!!! This really is…the GETTABLE EAST!
If we're pointing fingers, Keaton Wallace wasn't the problem. If getting stops at the rims wasn't working why not play Mo or Dante before the game got totally out of hand 🤔

Watching that game and comparing with other NBA teams, I am doubting about the level of talent in this Hawks team. It’s as if they’re beginning preseason! Trae, Dyson, Nikkel and Luke were just awful. Coach Quinn continues to disappoint. Remember the old 3rd Quarter woes of the last few seasons, it was even worse!
Rowland, Moe Gueye did play …had a nice block too

86 pts in the paint! That's INSANE! Hawks were not getting back on defense. Raptors played with energy, Hawks did not. But the REAL problem I saw was Quin's re-imagined offense of limiting Trae as PG. This year Hawks have more length, 3pt shooting, and lob threats. If Trae is PG for all of this, Hawks would be lethal. When Trae is not PG, he is not effective on the floor. So, Quin's "brilliant" idea has to go!
Absolutely agree on Keaton. I preferred him to make the team over Bufkin. But he should not be in the rotation. Vit should be the 5th guard.

I was expecting you to UNLEASH on how sloppy this team was. Size is a major issue for this team, and it was an issue in the pre season as well. KP is big but he doesn’t have girth. OO is a wing who plays like a center.

The Raptors play small and very fast, scottie barnes, rj barrett, ingram, etc. Its possible that the Raptors will be a thorn in the Hawks side even after we get our shit together. A small and fast team that is effective should matchup favorably against a team thats starting 4 players that are 6-7 or taller. No reason to panic from this type of loss, styles make the fight is all.
Well, this was bad. And yes, Brad, I understand it being the first game and the sky isn't falling at the moment. But fans are human and as with any build up during the off season and talk of expectations for this team, to see that performance last night was I think beyond disappointing even for the first game of the season. Maybe I should say effort instead of performance. It might have been different if they had been blown out on the road, or at a least a little less disappointing. It might have been different if they had shown any type of fight or played a lick of defense, both of which shouldn't take time to come together even with new players. As for the new additions, they weren't great, but they get a pass to me. I understand playing for a new team and in front of a new home crowd along with getting to know your teammates could have played a part in their performance. I expect them to play better as time goes on. And as for Trae and your thoughts on him appearing to be "checked out" after half time is interesting. Here's a guy who is trying to get paid and this is the effort you give to show you deserve to be paid? He didn't appear fully "checked in" all game. But overall, nobody with the exception of Jalen and Okongwu really played well. We are looking at the possibility of starting 0-3 with the next 4 games after that on the road. It will be interesting to see how this team and record look after those 7 games.
actually we just destory ourselves in Q3. In this situation if in last season, G.Niang was major part saving our night many games. if we could hang on the gap not over 10pt through to Q4 we still have chance comeback. But now we dont have the man that can turn pull the moment and shine while other one off form like G.Niang.
