Perhaps I'm mistaken on what a "film room" is. But shouldn't it be mostly…film? I mean game footage. You've got 2.5 mins of footage in a 13:48 video. And it's just highlights of scoring which i can watch anywhere. It's not really analysis. Pin downs, Jacob's deep screens to allow guys to get to the hoop, IM's woeful 3 shooting, and not THAT they dominated on the boards but HOW. You know, film room stuff. You guys are great but let's get analytical to make it worth our nerdy while!
I used to love Will Lou’s podcast but honestly these film reviews put you guys over the top for me. I love these keep making them
Thanks for this ES. It was great waking up in the morning and having this to go to. Peace…
My favourite thing was watching how they moved the ball, the beauty of having more than 1 or 2 playmakers
So glad smarter minds passed on trading RJ, Go Raptors 👏🏼🏀🇨🇦
I will respect RJ when he’s no longer a gaping hole on the defensive end. He has gravity on D because his teammates lean towards helping him when they should be marking their man. There’s no reason RJ has to give up so much on the defensive end. When you score 25 points and play with decent defender’s you should win your minutes consistently, he does not. Too often he loses his minutes and it’s due to multiple lapses on D, if he doesn’t clean this up he’s a liability more often than he is a positive. Just be self aware on the defensive end is all I ask. He doesn’t even have to be an average defender just stop the lack of effort and mindless mistakes and I’ll be happy. Since he’s come here he has driven me nuts by posting inefficient scoring stat’s, not last night, nice change, and given away the game on the defensive end. I’d like to see him succeed, but, I ain’t giving it up for him until he improves his game on the less sexy end of the floor. I need substance not empty calories. Last night was a partial step in the right direction, but, he needs to do much more than score.
Ayeee
What a handsome cool guy! I’m going to like/hype/comment/subscribe because of this!
🏀 great commentary 🏀
The reason A.H defense looks As*** its bcoz, Raps put them on ice 😂😂
Go Raps
As long as this team doesnt get stuck playing ISO in the half court and continue ball movement and selfless play this team is going to be dangerous and put the East on notice
We need to keep seeing Barnes the Bully!
Finally! RJ Barrett is the hometown kid! Scottie steps up! Grady is grinding! Red Raptors!!!!
Let's go!!
Yesterday’s game was everything you want to see; defensive intensity, elite transition offense, incredible ball movement. If our shooters actually knocked down their open corner 3’s you blow them out by 30. As soon as the triples start falling this will be a very tough team to beat
Coach Darko needs to cut down on the crystal meth, lol. He went all out crazy in the locker room!
When’s the next viewing party? Looked like it was a great time!
Good news Es. After a string of good shows, you are out of my doghouse. You were correct to bring up the Hawks terrible defense. I remember Raps fans went on a high last year after a Hawks game. I told them that it was more of a matter of them being so bad, than us being so good. You don't need 3 point shooting to get space when you play Atlanta, they will just freely give you space. We won't see many lay-ups from Shead this season, unless we play the Hawks.
I am so thrilled that Masai is gone. I have my doubts about Bobby and Darko, but will give them both a chance. Now that we don't have to deal with Masai's dumb experiments, and micromanaging, we will see what they can do? Masai humiliated 2 coaches because of his stubborn believe in his stupid projects like Flynn, and trying to turn Scottie into being a PG, and 3 point shooter.
It was a fun game for the Raps fans to watch, but I need to see what they can do against better defensive teams. My Grandma might score 15 points, if she was given open lanes like the Hawks gave up, and Granny uses a walker. However it was nice to see Scottie and Gradey playing to their strengths, and not having to endure Masai's dumb experiments.
I think we glaze over the fact that RJ seems to have great chemistry with majority of the rotation players. There is almost a clip of the top 6to 7 players in rotation throwing RJ alley oops etc since being a rap. He is an east player to get a dime with on the break. He play with Mamu in highschool. Knows Scottie from same era. Played with iq. Instantly gelled with Jakob and BI and rj fellow dukies. Even gradey and him have multiple heads up plays to each other. List is growing.
Great start lets keep it up!
What I liked about this game was that everything the Raptors did well is repeatable and there are things that they can do better, like 3-pt. shooting and fewer turnovers. This was not a perfect performance and yet they still overwhelmed the Hawks. With CMB and Ja’Kobe back they will be even more formidable. A very good start.
