Terry Rozier, Chauncey Billups arrested in FBI gambling investigation
Portland Trail Blazers coach Chauncey Billups, Miami Heat guard Terry Rozier and former NBA player Damon Jones were arrested by the FBI on Thursday morning as part of an extensive federal grand jury investigation into illegal sports betting split across two cases, sources tell CBS News.
Billups is one of more than 30 people being charged for allegedly taking part in illegal high-stakes poker games that involved sports coaches and were operated by organized crime figures, while Rozier was arrested in connection with a sports betting ring involving current and former players, including some who allegedly faked injuries, sources tell CBS News.
Rozier is among six people who have been charged in the latter case.

Meanwhile this has a fan duel logo right at the bottom of the screen. Now you can bet while in college as a player the entire sports industry has been bought off by gambling companies. It's all fixed and there's never a winner because you just keep betting until there's nothing left to bet.

Tip of the iceberg. Will this investigation expand into the college (and even high school) level? Will refs, umps, and other game officials end up being dragged into the net? How many "questionable" calls will get reviewed? How many "errors" or game-altering fouls might be found to be less than unintentional? This could get very, very interesting, and it could end up making the Black Sox scandal (and the Cobb/Speaker incident of 1926) look like child's play.

There is not a single wealthy person not players, not coaches, not owners, not the richest people on planet Earth, Elon Musk and Larry Ellison, who has stopped trying to acquire more wealth just because they're already a multi millionaire or billionaire. So I don't really understand the idea that making $160,000,000 is enough to cause a person not to gamble. Clearly it's not about how much money you have. It's about a never ending, never ceasing desire to gain all of the wealth possible. And they don't believe that there's a limit to that possibility, so they will never be satisfied.

This is why I stopped watching NBA games. Things weren't panning out. Things were following money line and Vegas was extra good at just knowing.
