Nice win for the Chicago bulls.
This was a dead game. The fans were dead as hell. I listened to the game on the radio and it sounded like the Bulls were on the road. Dead crowd……..I will say this. Despite missing White the point guard position was key for this win. That to me is the biggest difference now and years past. To me this game proved why that position is important. The rest of the season we will see….
Fun fact: Matas is the Lithuanian version of Matthew, which is the English version of Matityahu, which is a Hebrew name meaning "gift of god". 🙂
The last three minutes I would’ve liked to see Giddy be a little more aggressive on offense even with those 5 fouls. They went against a team that’s not good at shooting 3s, and so they focused on beating them in the paint and not taking bad shots. Jalen smith was a hot mess.
YAAAAAAY, Way to come out of the gates!! Hopefully they can keep stacking competitive performances against good teams, and handle their business against bad teams. If they're able to do that, this could turn out to be the best season the bulls have had in a very long time.
All I know is that this team every player knows and commits to their role. Okoro is one of the good examples. He be like: Ok so I'm guarding Cade? Aight." Then proceeds to make life hard for him. Still hope Essengue finds his way into the rotation though.
This is gonna be a fun season!

I think it’s safe to say now that it wasn’t a fluke, this team is better without Lavine and Derozan. There’s been plenty of criticism of the Bulls front office, but they aren’t the Sacraments Kings 🤣

These young bulls showed maturity in this opener. Defense was decent enough to turn steals into fast pace transition offense.
We didn't fold in the 4th, lol this is why I don't like this style of NBA play…lol if you're up 20+ you can't coast anymore it's truly a game of runs, I'm getting used to it.
If we can play like this with Coby out, we can steal some wins as other teams ease their way into the season and players start warming up. We looked ready to compete and that all we can ask for!
😊 The story 📖of the game our starters were better than theirs. The stats were pretty similar. The interesting numbers were Okoro +17 zero pts and Buzelis 21 pts with -10. This could be a strange year to the good.

Watching that bulls post-game locker room video after being used to the bears post-game locker room vids with ben johnson was extremely underwhelming lol. Tho it is an 82 game season, good win.
Vooch actually put a body on his man and turned to watch the ball making me think he understands his role defending the rim if it needed to be done, he was ready!

I can honestly say the Bulls shocked me with that win. Pat Williams still sucks! But other than that it was a great opening game.
