What do you think the Nets' record will be through 20 games? Do you feel the current situation is good or bad for Cam Thomas' development?
Spot on. I was looking forward to seeing us try to develop an actual team this year with all the passers we drafted. I’ve seen enough of the Cam show over the years.
Said it as soon as I saw him play for BYU and I’ll say it again. Egor is a Joe Ingles type point forward. He’s not a PG
This guy is a Cam Thomas hater!! The pessimistic podcaster
poor Cam Thomas! It had just bad luck that last summer all teams have no cap to offer a contract…otherwise I think that a guy that drops 40 points should deserved to be paid 20/30 a year! Is not better that jalen green, jabari smith jr, micheal porter jr., jeremy grant etc etc..???!!!???
the point is that Cam is not a pointguard…is not his job to give assists…it's a freakin scorer and it does at high level
This guy definitely works for Nets management, I sense a bias take every time Cam is discussed
He’s an elite scorer from anywhere build around him
You show that you really don't know basketball. CT has played with almost 10 PGs in his career. If he had a consistent PG that could set him up he would be more efficient. The Cavs game showed he can pass when he plays with his players. Wemby shit down the paint and bk had no one to pull him out of the lane and no pg to make a play. CTs usage is up because Brooklyn PGs can't dribble pass or shoot. It all falls on CT.
Making excuses for egor being Over matched at pg and blaming CT at the same time shows bias. Marks is a terrible GM but you won't hear about it on this show. Walter Clayton is 10/4 shooting 57% in less than 20mins picked after demin
So you expect Cam Thomas, as a Shooting Guard, to ALWAYS average 9 assists per game when he doesn't have enough folks to make a shot on this team. But you have NO problem with Egor and Saraf getting minimal assists AS a point guard and not being able to make a layup or being highly inconsistent from the 3? Yeah, your Cam hate is CLEARLY evident!
I read comments, no need to listen this. Erik is getting Cam hater
I think we need Egor to get put on some kind of Sean Livingston dribbling program.
He needs to be low and keep his head up. Harper made life hell for him.
Notice Livingston never needed to get into paint. He had an elite handle and midrange postup/pullup.
CT is an elite sniper – yes, CT is a team player – no, will he help a good team with his perfomances – yes, will he help win NETS – no, he is high impressive player, but not for this team, not at this moment, it's simple, Ithink thats what Eric mean
40 empty points
Not a single assist, granted his team mates aren't the best to optimise assist numbers but he actually wasn't trying to find his teammates anyway.
It's just hero ball but he gives away as many as he actually scored because he is a complete L on the defensive end and thats purely from lack of effort , hes a big guy hes got the frame to be a good defender just lacks the willing to actually do it.
He just doesn't fit well as a first option and hopefully another team sees his scoring potential as a 6th man and we get half a feasible offer for him!
This is not fun Nets basketball. I expected better than this. If they keep this going, coaching staff has to go.
Can you have a crushing loss when you’re in tank mode? 🤔
When cam pulls of”these games” it’s because he stagnates the offense and his teammates don’t get into a rhythm, the ball does not rotate.its just basically cam looking for his shot and he passes when he feels he can’t find one.he doesn’t pass to create, just to find a statisticall “assist”.players were all standing around watching this dude chuck away
Eric don't get it. The epitome of a Cam Thomas game should be reported as broken nose and stitched up CT is the only hope. Not to keep talking about assists on a night vs the Spurs.
Cam Thomas didn't is a good role player that can put the ball in the basket in reasonable efficiency..
BUT, low basketball IQ, bad shot selection and overplaying isolation that makes him predictable … that's called "forcing himself" not "explosion"
Who is he supposed to pass too? It’s not like we are stacked with scores
Yeah, well said, Slater. I thought it would be 21 wins this season but I think it'll be less than that now. Effort has been better last two games and there will be more cohesion, but in order to have a shot at winning, Cam or MPJ or both have to have great offensive nights. Just not sustainable. They'll scrap out a few but I'll say 17 wins. Starting the season 3-17
I'd like to see Cam play within a realistic system. Unfortunately, I don't think that's going to come with this current team.
Brooooooooklynnnnn!
Great episode!
People keep getting angry at anyone criticizing cam Thomas but if he were this great player as you all claim why didn’t a team try to trade for him this summer?
