No rebounds, no rings. Kidding of course, but if Pat Reiley was in the room he would be saying it with smug satisfaction. He wouldn’t be wrong either.
Where is the praise for Brad Stephens now. He is the one who put this team together. All the bum kissers who were claiming what a genius he is. Without Danny Ainge players, tell me about this genius. Those great draft picks he has put on his team. When are you going to put team construction on his lap.
Coach knew this was going to happen as he tried to emphasize offensive rebounding in the preseason by subbing out the responsible player when they gave up an offensive rebound…. Going to be a long season.
I knew rebounding was going to be a problem but my god, it was like watching adults play kids when it came to rebounding. It’s hard to watch. We were so spoiled watching beautiful basketball the past 2 years. I didn’t think they’d be this bad.
Im sure #JB will make that leap🍀🍀 Hes really just gotta fully understand the role hes stepping into, I dont think he was fully aware until the the season actually started and what is he was dealing with
I can only image how many rebounds there going to give up to New Orleans today, 🤦🏾♂️ 0-4 coming soon sadly, same old same old
Detroit is a very good rebounding team, no spilled milk. Bickerstaff did give us some props.
Great point about changing philosophy on taking charges. I initially didn't see it that way but can definitely see the benefits of it. Seems to me defensive rebounds is our biggest opportunity to get better
I DO NOT want to see Hugo go to the G-League. Keep giving him a good chunk of minutes at the NBA level. No better way to learn fast than to do it at the highest level of competition. I completely agree with you that he is going to eventually be a full time starter within a year or two. Especially if he can continue to refine his offensive game. The defense and the other intagibles are already there. He's definitely been the most exciting outcome over the last two games.
Tillman didn’t play because his minutes literally cost us last game.. in my opinion he is a situational player at best. He’s too small to play the five and he can’t shoot so he can’t really play the four in modern NBA. at the very least he needs to be paired with a rim protector notSam Hauser. And… that rim protector, needs to be able to shoot threes because Tillman can’t. So Boucher is really the only guy u can play next to Tillman. I’m completely out on tillman. Maybe a bias take but hey
Great episode John!!
Hugo has actively bothered multiple stars now. To the point where their visibly frustrated.. amazing
Starting line up too slow and not enought athleticism.. JB can't be the only one putting in real work, We NEED a real BIG !!
Mazzula isn't a great coach, the title team was so talented that most coaches would've won a Chip. Reminds of the Big 3 era, I think with a different coach, they get 2 chips.
Queta is trash
Start Simons, Hugo and Minott need to play more.
Jaylen Brown isn't a number 1 option type of player, he's a complimentary player, the number 1 option type player is on the bench in street clothes, out with an achilles.
Top 5 pick here we come
Tank Celchicks I love seeing your coping. lol
Height aside, defensive reaction as far as positioning for rebound + rotations are slow at moment.
I feel like if everyone got on Hugo’s effort, the team will be much better.
There’s not much zip in some of the guys to be out there. Like JB for instance, has always played this mellow/cool kind of style but with his opportunity, I’d expect more urgency to take control.
I’m just not seeing the excitement from players to give it everything they have right now and for some of these guys, this is it.
I’m more disappointed on the effort.
Wow it's almost like if they don't hit their threes they can't win. You would think a great coach like Joe could come up with a game plan wear that wouldn't matter😅
