  1. Would love to see Zacc get major mins at the two and JJ at the 3 or at least switch Zacc and DD spots on offense to get him ZR more involved. And i thought the plan was to get longer and Not play drop coverage.

  2. I think us, talking about potentially losing to the Nets next game, isn't how saw this season starting 😂

  3. onyeka has something to do with the defensive rebounding issues, as i've been saying since his rookie year… HE IS TOO SMALL, guards run in the paint and grab o boards right over him, bad rim protector as well

  4. Thanks for the video Brad. Love listening to your show. Gotta watch the game and then listen to the show at the gym. U rock been listening for a long time

  5. I still firmly believe that the Hawks should decisively give up on Trae Young and use their first-round draft picks to acquire a player like Jaylen Brown. If we look back at the Miami Heat over the past decade, 35-year-old Dwyane Wade did not receive a contract extension worthy of his status and eventually left for the Bulls. However, what I see is that the current Trae Young is not even as good as the 35-year-old Wade. Last year, in the play-in tournament, Trae Young was thoroughly outplayed by Tyler Herro. It's worth noting that after Wade left, the Heat developed young players like Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro, and they still needed a player like Jimmy Butler to reach the Finals twice in a row. Look at our young players: Jaylen, Dyson, Risacher, Okongwu, and the newly added Newell, along with some of the best championship puzzle pieces in the league. The only weak link is the core position—Trae Young should not be considered a franchise cornerstone. This is wasting the growth of our young players. If he isn't as good as the 35-year-old Wade, who gave everything to Miami, the team showed no hesitation in rebuilding, even when he eventually returned to the Heat for his final season. As for Trae Young, at just 27 years old, he has already been declining for three seasons. The Hawks should decisively focus on developing their young players, trust them, and wait for the right opportunity.

  6. you said about the Bulls: 'not that impressive of an offense'…funny, last season they averaged less than a half-a-point per game than the Hawks did and finished 6th in the NBA in team scoring…I guess 'offense' is in the eye of the beholder…

  7. Trae is such an inefficient shooter. Can’t even have a 40% FG game. SMH. Then we playing 4 on 5 on defense cause he can’t guard at all.

  8. Before I listen to the pod….my observations..QUIN???? $1KW CAN"T PLAY/be inb the rotation..#2 ZACCH is not a starting caliber player right now by any stretch…for all those people who look at + and minus stats…HIS total NOTHING BURGER game came out to be a +13/JOKE!!!!!.#3 Trae…like the assists..but..that contract isn't coming if you can't score…we should have had 40+ points in that 1st quarter..horrific start and horrific 3 point shooting…OO played really well..but can't miss 4 straight free throws. Zacch right now can't be any higher than 7/8 in the rotation..LUKE at least is a real outside threat/playmaker..unlike Zacch.VERY frustrating to waste a great PORZ game and finally a good NAW 3 point game. THANK GOODNESS MAGIC lost again! The Bulls have a couple of players that would look really good on our team not named Buzelis! AYO and GIDDEY!

  9. On a POSITIVE note!!!!!!! We have Trae-less line-ups!!!!! ONSI has to be thinking about acquiring another point guard at some time! I really wonder what both VIT and J.Toppin are thinking…they should both be given a chance…DYSON..you got that contract..now we need some points! Hope QUIN goes BIG…Start Trae…with that big front line of JJ/OO/PORZ….at the 2 lots of options…NAW/DYSON/Luke/VIT with those 4. Those 4 are our best 4 …by FAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 5-8(NAW/DYSON/LUKE/ZACCH)

  10. Brad short sample or not this team sucks and lacks a true leader need to move off some players or new coach Quinn blows games with trash rotations

  11. The defensive rebounding and transition defense are going to be the biggest issue I feel because its a shift away from capela. Capela for all his faults always sprinted both ways no matter what and had much more mobility than porizingus. Also the defensive rebounding, we went from glass cleaner capela to subpar rebounder porizingus. If these issues cant be solved the season will end poorly. Jalen started slow last year, Trae will be trae, and dyson and zac will have their variance throughout the season. Im starting to worry about the downsides to porizingus and whether they can be overcome

  12. Trae young will be gone by trade deadline.. ive said it over and over. He doesnt equate to winning

  13. Yall need to trade trea young ….he is the worst defender in the nba as a PG. And always inefficient..he takes alot of bad shots

  14. I just don't like Quin's rotations.
    – NAW should not play more minutes than Risacher
    – Keaton should not be the 5th guard
    – Asa should be the 3rd forward – not NAW (if Big O is in at center)

I notice that Quin has rethought his dumb idea of limiting Trae as PG. Trae cannot be on the floor if he is not facilitating the offense. Otherwise, he is completely ineffective. But Trae's FG% is still atrocious! Hawks are loaded with length and 3pt shooting. Therefore, I expect to see lots of lobs and 3's. Play inside-outside game with KP at the post, or Trae drives for floater/lob. But this should be too obvious. Is Quin overthinking it? Com'on man! It's not that complicated! Play to your strengths!

  15. Season don’t start till mid November until Trae’s annual trolling throughout the first 10 games is over.

  16. I agree Brad and I would take it a step further. I would start Naw at the 2 and officially move Dyson to the backup pg. It may technically be a demotion but a think it wud do wonders for our team. Dyson could still play heavy minutes in that role.

  17. Hey Brad…speaking of an OVERREACTION…Hawks at FD…ONLY over 43????? OMG…what now..they think we won't be over 500!! LOL..NOW that's what I call an overreaction!!

  18. trae never runs back on defense he either complains about a no call or does this slow walk into a slow jog and i thinm quin a very smart coach but bad defensively and shows favoritism

  19. I don't know if Quin is the right coach right now, offense is just really passive and on defense we are very penalised by trae youn not defending. Defense is constructed so that trae doesn't need to defend, but it ends up leaving guys open for a 3 a lot of the time. Then we wonder teams shoot so well against us.

  20. you called out zacch but he only got 5 shots up and 20 mins he had less mins then luke kennard zacch a starter how can he get a flow of the game if he misses a shot or allows a bucket on him hes instantly pulled out the game

  21. I think we are at the point where it is fair to question the offseason, the most positive move we did won’t even have payoff until next year. It doesn’t help us win any games today.

Losing Levert was a real loss, same with Niang and to a lesser extent T-Mann. Replacing these 3 with KP, NAW and Kennard was a small upgrade but it might not be as big as we think. That plus no internal development means we might be the 6 or 7 seed not the 4 seed.
