During the 19-0 run, Missi was not hurt and willie played Queen way too many minutes too soon. Queen looked slow and couldn’t make a jumper. I would have played Dickinson more than Queen just because he can give you better rebounding and rim protection. Willie made some awful substitutions when he was up 14. Queen should not have been out there. Another concern was where was Poole in the 2nd half, after his argument with KCP he just forgot how to be aggressive. But seriously Derik Queen has the body and strength of a high school player, he doesn’t have the speed to keep up nor the strength to play bigs. I hope I’m wrong but he looked awful and to see him stay in the game was a bone headed move. Kid clearly wasn’t ready after his injury. Murphy and Poole vanished in the 2nd half was main reason why pelicans lost. But the good news is the pelicans were competitive, they just need to put in a group who won’t lost large leads in the game. Someone like Alvarado would have maybe disrupted their tempo?

I think your comments about Willie Green are off base. Players play. And those players did not execute in areas such as stopping the ball going down the court. Even the analyst Daniels stated that is the first thing you learn in organized basketball. Now if that type of play continues, you start to blame the coach. But for last night, nah, you are just a hater.
Your assessment on Trey was on point. He played likely the worst game since his rookie season. And after stepping up with all of the injuries last year and taking on that pressure, this season should feel like less pressure, yet he pushed too hard last night. I don't expect that to continue, but his performance was quite disappointing, especially since he is my most liked player.

Willie can not adjust in-game for life's sake.. he sat Zion when Z was in a rhythm. He sat Poole for waaaay too long. Herb taking too many shots. No plays ran for Trey to get him going, etc.
I saw better shooting and defense then last year. Problem is still turnovers. 3rd quarter was horrendous. Once we get a healthy big we should be okay. Looks like Willie was putting players out there to see what he's working with. But we're trending in the right direction.

Another one of the biggest problems is Willie sitting Jordan Poole for most of the 2nd half. This man was on fire the 1st half and scored 15 points and gave them the lead.
Then Willie decides to sit him for most of the 2nd half?! WHY? Has he never heard of the strategy " Riding The Hot Hand?"
Let's be honest here. Trey has only given you 20ppg one season in his career. He also did not have last night and there is no way he should've taken more shots more shots than somebody who did have it going.
It seems to be the same as last year at 3 min. Of the second quarter the team starts to fall apart comes the third quarter the game is over. Different players same result. Trey Murphy ain't no BI,why is Hawkins still on this team? Brandon Boston was a better player. I have lost the little confidence that I had for willie.

At a point in the third quarter Willie Green took all the starters out and had all the backups on the floor that's when we lost the lead and it wasn't until we was down by 10 or more points is when he started putting the starters back in Willie Green is the problem

All valid points, and hoping this is a valuable learning experience that can be corrected. I’ve heard Hunter described as a ‘finesse’ player who is poor defensively. Hopefully he and Queen can be coached up, to at least slow some players down. Good luck Friday night!
