I love the Chris Finch criticism. Thank you for speaking on him regardless of your stance. Finch as the HC can make or break this team. I believe Ant being out will really expose his decision making. I’m actually very excited for this season. It will expose a lot of the issues this team has been coasting around.
14:50 This is not just a this season issue with Finch. I think the MN media ignored the signs last season. The biggest flag from what I saw was the lack of Rob minutes last season. Especially since we had drafted him to replace Conley. Now we are in a jam because Rob isn’t confident and in a flow. Conley is also off and Donte is not a real PG. Also his rotation choices last season cost us a lot of games early in the season. Antecedent behavior that has now snowballed and media is just now acknowledging it.
I remember someone saying 2 seasons ago when we still had KAT that Finch is not a good coach and the team is carrying him. I disagreed then but then I started seeing a lot of amateur moves from Finch. Another flag is his stubbornness last season. The media pressed him about playing Donte last season over Mike and he got defensive. Then did it the next game LOL. He said after he looked at the paperwork etc.
17:45 He had opportunities!? Did you listen to Mike Conley interview the other day?? He said he’s playing out of pace and flow and that is why he making stupid mistakes. That is typically what happens when you don’t allow a player to adjust to the flow of the game. Rob should have been playing next to Ant last season more. What was the point of drafting him!? We knew he was small and would be playing out of position as a PG. 🤣 smh

No matter who guards the point of attack they are getting cooked by that first screen. I'd rather Rob/Mike/Donte/Jalen/TJ be on point of attack than Jaden because Jaden gets taken out of most plays off that first screen against a good team
