  1. And if the officials HAD called a traveling violation they would have been accused of dis-respecting a star player.
    The NBA is a laughingstock.

  2. The dribble is active for the first two steps, gathered on step three, another two steps after gather.
Legal in both NBA and FIBA

  3. Everyone that thinks this is a travel doesn’t know ball. The steps start after ending a live dribble and Gianni’s kept his dribble alive until the very and of his drive. After that he only took two steps.

Edit: You could make the case that he ends his dribble one step earlier but that’s very hard to officiate in a game and referees have to give players the benefit of the doubt.

  4. Take away that gather shit. 2 steps like old school and this stuff will be gone and for basketball purest sake bring back what a pivot foot is. I love basketball but Damn man. That's why it looks like a video game at times

  5. Giannis is a mega star
He s allowed to take more steps once in the game.
    So what?
Look around what others mega stars allowed to do.
PS: If refs gave all the fauls on Giannis, he probably shoot twenty free throws per game

  6. The nba is like pro wrestling. It's all a gimmick. Has been for years. Integrity of the game is gone, and it's not coming back.

  7. It would be nice if the owner of such a big NBA channel understood the rules. Steps do not begin to count until the player has ENDED his dribble. If he would still be allowed to put down another dribble at any moment in question, then he has not yet ended his dribble and therefore his 2 allowed steps have not began to count even if the ball is in contact with the player's hand and he doesn't put down another dribble. This was a legal 2 step move or AT MOST a very close 3 step travel.
