The Rockets suffered from the exact same problem they suffered from last year, no guaranteed closer⊠I thought Durant was supposed to take the shot when the game is on the line. Why the hell did he pass it to Thompson as if he can shoot. To me the problem, has always been theis weird focus of this team of putting all their eggs in one basket called defense. Thereâs no way youâre going to be a serious threat for the championship without at least two knockdown perimeter shooters and Reed definitely is not it.
Except Durant, Okogie and Adams, other guys played like a shit … Coaching staff was also bad at doing their job… We need a real point guard in mid season. Make a trade immediately!
The double big wonât work like that because we loss a lot of perimeter feet speed thatâs why the zone look bad this year itâs too many big guys out there.

Reed and Tari are constantly targeted and hunted by even the opposing teams' worst players, both offensively and defensively!
There is no way the offense can flow, defend one-on-one or in the zone, or even get offensive or defensive rebounds when these two are on the court!
These two players are the main reason why the Rockets concede over 100 points to their opponents in every game and this is no longer acceptable!
What is certain is that Jalen Green, Cam Whitmore, Reed Sheppard and Tari Eason have never been and will never be NBA level basketball players!
And this is ridiculous but as long as Udoka insists on fielding such bad players, it is very difficult for the Rockets to win games even against the worst teams in the NBA! Okagie or Davison are the only players who should be on the court, not Reed or Tari!
It's not the double big line up that's the problem, it's the same issue as last year. Hitting open shots. Jabari, just like last year misses wide open shots. They still didn't address the issues from last year is shooting. They doubled down on bringing in guys that is strong on the defensive side but still not bringing in actual shooters. Until they address that issue they are going to continue to struggle regardless of big lineup or not.
Rewatching the live….this definitely was a diatribe of venting after starting 0-2. We are absolutely showing our fanatic feelings on our (CSG'sđ€đŸđ) shoulders đđ. 60% of our starting lineup from last year is missing. I think we'll be alright and figure it out in a 82 game season. CSG's….we all we gotđ€đŸ
We need a system, i donât want Al P or any big bringing up the ball, it has to our guards doing that, Adams shouldnât play 20+ minutes. Reed and Eason are struggling but itâs still early, i believe we will get better overtime but we have many issues that needs to be fix.
A big part of the problem is lack of hustle and lazy and foolish passing. They make so many bad passes. Some hustle and cleaning up their passing would make a big difference. We are really missing Fred.
Reed is never going to be a frontline point guard. He's short and slow, a joke on defense. A package including him, Tari and a draft pick or swap should be enticing enough to get started shopping for a decent guard.
Rockets need to get rid of the double big in the starting lineup. You can play it during stretches of the game but at this point itâs useless to start with it. Itâs causing everyone to be out of rhythm except the superstars. First game Sengun was the only one in rhythm and 2nd game itâs Durant but the rest of the team has struggled mightily. Trust me guys itâs the double big that is the main problem not just FVV.
Ime needs to stop obsessing over this double big just because it worked in the playoffs matchup with GSW who has a small lineup doesnât mean it will work for the rest of the league.
Ime need to do 2 things:
1. Either start Reed or Okogi until DFS is ready. I will prefer Okogi
2. He needs to stop playing that stupid zone defense. You have individual players that can play elite defense yet you choose a zone because of obsession with double big lineup itâs not working, not against good teams.
Houston lost the rebounding even with the double big starting. At this point the starting double big is not worth it. End it NOW!
Multiple issues. Jabari, Amen, Sengun, Tari, and Reed all severely underperformed. Got beat by 4. Any one of those players I mentioned perform as expected and we win by 5+ easily. It's a slow start but only need to panic when patterns are established and this is still going on (around 10 games). Tomorrow is the Nets and their best player is MPJ so should definitely be an easy win.
The Fred injury definitely screwed shit up heavily. Fuck it we ball though. We just gotta learn to play with KD without Fred and we're figuring it out but it's racking up losses while we're doing it though lol. We're gonna turn it around though just be a little patient.
Ima need everybody to calm down.the rockets cant do nothin about a pg anyways until after dec 15 and even at that they cant trade anybody worth anything to get a pg thats worth trading for. Just chill and ride the storm. Idk where yall came up with this its championship or bust this yr. I didn't expect a championship this yr and if any of yall did yall funny as hell. Even with fred it was a push. I figured west finals at best. Let reed and amen get that burn and if not get rid of them next season or fred. Problem solved. Fck it trade amen and some other pieces and go get lamelo or trae. Hopefully that will make everyone happy
