Short answer because that front office saw an elite PG scorer that was a shit defender and didn’t put any elite defenders around him, didn’t trade their high picks, didn’t do FUCK all to try and compete. They failed Dame massively. If you want a real in depth analysis of how they failed Dame check our Synthetic Sports most popular video, theyre blazer fans and make good videos
Being a Portland fan my whole life due to proximity, its crazy to think how good/solid of a lineup we have had that won way too many games than they should have, especially when we were damn near running the all Unc team for a year or two.
Had we not always gone after the old/has beens or reaching on picks and built a squad properly over time we could have been in a way better spot than we are in now. The front office still does a bunch of dumb shit though, so its not like that much has changed if you really think about it.
Cursed is the wrong word, I would put Portland in the same category as Indiana and Utah. Have a hard time breaking the glass ceiling with the small market limitations, but deserve credit for at least providing a team each decade that can be a dark horse and not subjecting fans to the misery of Sacramento or Charlotte.

As a lifetime Blazers fan I am excited to watch but wondering if I am a masochist
Ngl the Big Red is one of the greatest bigs of all time.
Unfortunately he's also one of the most underrated.
RIP Mr. Walton 🎉🏀🏆🙏

Brandon Roy would have been a first ballot hall of famer if he had knees. Nothing will change my mind.
and they just cooked the lakers
6:50 the suns basically did this. They didn’t think they needed another guard with Book so they went with Ayton. We could have had Book and Doncic 😢
