Giannis is the best player in the NBA and it’s not even close. He can do literally anything and everything the team ask and no other current player can. Jokic is horrible at scoring when he needs to and sucks at defense. Shai can’t rebound and guard bigs. Giannis took Brunson in the second half and shut that down while getting Rollins a career high in points and also points up 47.

A gather is when the ball is no longer in dribbling position not just when you put two hands on it. You can gather with one hand. The moment your hand palms or is under the ball then it’s gathered and can no longer be dribbled for then it’s a carry.

The NBA rule is that players can continue to take steps as the ball is spinning in their hands because the dribble has not been discontinued. The gather in this case comes when the left hand touches the ball and his left foot is on the floor. He takes 2 steps after that. Legal.
