ESPN reports that Rozier had a tax lien on his property in 2023. Were there more financial issues facing Rozier than it appeared? According to his lawyer he settled all debt and it was nowhere near the number reported. Rozier’s attorney also appeared on FOX News with some details on why his season was cut short in 2023. Will the Heat get any relief soon? Shams reports this whole process is going to take 6-12 months.

Maybe, the league decided to publicly declare that Rozier wasn’t getting paid because they knew it would not hold up in court. They could not risk giving the Heat cap relief and the court making them pay Rozier his salary for this year. Best case… I would bet on a compensatory draft pick in 2017. Announced after the trial.

They had no problem making us give up a draft pick for allegedly tampering with our Kyle Lowry signing. The NBA knew about this grenade and allowed this trade to happen.
