Therapist here– I use legos regularly in sessions.
4 great ways to use Lego therapeutically (or to build behavioral health skills)
1. Sort legos by color. Build freely with one color
2. Have 1 person build something with 5-20 bricks (depends on age). Builder must use communicable skills to guide other builders to create as close a replica as possible
3. Build a Lego scale. Use bricks to represent the size of different stressors on one side of the scale, on the other use bricks to represent coping skills used to deal with stressors (help visualize disparity in stress and coping)
4. Build sets independently or with others to focus on developing problem solving, attention to detail, and follow through.
Legos rock. Myles does too. I hope we can get some good numbers as the team grows together. Dude deserves some shine
