The Cleveland Cavaliers got EMBARRASSED by the Celtics on National TV, but is it time to panic?

The Cleveland Cavaliers took an ugly loss on National TV to the Boston Celtics on Wednesday, 125-105. The Cavs were out-rebounded 53-42, including 18-11 on the offensive boards.

Evan Mobley scored 19 points with 11 rebounds and Jaylon Tyson also scored 19 for the Cavaliers. Donovan Mitchell made all four 3-point attempts for 12 points in the first quarter, when the Cavaliers led 42-40, but made just one of his last eight shots and finished with 15 points.

Boston led by 19 points midway through the third quarter and had a 98-80 advantage in the final two minutes of the third before Cleveland scored the next eight points. The Cavs never got closer than nine points from there, shooting 33% (8 for 24) in the fourth quarter as they failed to chip into Boston’s lead. | https://www.espn.com/nba/recap/_/gameId/401809983

  1. We have to admit that this team is who we think they really are. Prone injury and full of nice guys. The 4 core ceiling has already reached its peak they've been together 4 years now. This team is really built for 2nd round beyond that probably confernce finals at best. As far as being a champion that will never happen. Remember this team is one if not the highest payroll im the league this year. If I were the managemant I will start looking and building for the future. Their best chance of going all the way really was last year and they blew it and deep down they knew it as well. Nothing to be ashamed of anyways.

  2. For those that are overreacting because of last night's blowout loss against the Celtics in Boston, take a deep breath because this is not a time to panic, because the season just started and we are not in November just yet. The Cavaliers right now are shorthanded with no Darius Garland (the Cavaliers are currently 9-7 (.563) without him since hiring Atkinson), no Max Strus (he should not start at the SF spot again), and no Sam Merrill (Cleveland won 3 straight after dropping the opener because of his hot start at 3-pointers). However, the whole team, especially Evan Mobley, will figure things out as the season progresses when Garland, Strus and Merrill return from their injuries by the end of 2025.

  3. Id rather see them suck this early than after the all star break or obviously in the postseason. But this was sad. Tyson played better than anyone else second half

  4. Mitchell took 12 shots all game…Hunter and Mobley combined took 36 shots…CLEARLY they tried to get those 2 going…but it backfired horribly…

  5. I it possible that we’re experimenting and testing things out? Like are we trying to development Mobley for the playoffs or something like that? Play around in the regular season so we can figure out wtf to do in the playoffs? This is out best chance. The east is open. The pathway is there to make a run

  6. What's crazy is that DM is so good that he goes 5 of 12 and has 4 rebounds 6 assists, and that's his bad game…

  7. I get that the 3pt shot is the new nba now, but when that shot isn’t falling, they gotta start getting in the paint. Yesterday was a very winnable game but they let it get away from them in the 2nd quarter. If only they didn’t chuck up so many 3s….

  8. Mobley was the only so called big man to win defensive player of the year and not average 10+rebounds in my memory and up to this point he's never averaged 10 or more rebounds. I think Mobley should just focus on becoming a beast on the boards and playing defense and let the offensive end come secondary because he's pressing on the offensive end of the court and that's why he's been inefficient!

  9. Mobley stock is plummeting. Looks soft n scared vs the celtics g league. Fade aways when guards r on him.
