  1. Timberwolves got a lot worse in the off-season. And still the lowest iq team in the league.

They need a new coach, and they need more legs.

Gobert is washed. Both Donte and Jaden aren’t doing their jobs and haven’t gotten better.

  2. Out of shape Luka, Austin, & Bron was a top 4 seed last year. Lol there’s already a proof of concept. They gave OKC & Denver hell last year. Their biggest issue was Minn size. They seem to have addressed that with big man depth

  3. The LeBron apologists are just amazing: even when he's not playing he's still responsible for how well the Lakers are playing. This constant LeBron worship is just exhausting.

  4. Jason, do you really think Bron will morph into a fill-in-the-gaps Lamar Odom-on-the 2008-10 Lakers-type of guy and defer to Luka and AR? No way he's content to do that.

  5. Hopefully Minnesota fans will get a clue and pull their heads out of their buttholes and stop being delusional it's okay to like your team it's okay to love your team and is still cheer for them against anybody no matter what to stick with them nothing wrong with that that's good I commend that I do that for my team however be honest too when your team is good but they're just not good enough yeah they're missing their best player that's true but let's be honest you got to play by the same rules that you that you play that you make other teams play by when their players are missing that's right, when some of the other teams players are missing played by the same rules played by the same rules you make that you make them play by it, otherwise you're considered a hypocrite and arrogant hypocrite and that's been the problem with the Minnesota fans for a long time they never ever played by the same rules when other players from other teams are missing nope they leave it out and it's a deceitful Point that's why we don't take their team seriously they're always going to be a pretty good team and we never said they weren't but they're just not good enough and even when they are at full strength they're still not good enough the other teams can beat them in the West in a series like Denver Denver will kill them in a series the Clippers will beat them I believe the Lakers probably would beat them in a series of playoff series and I know OKC would and I think other than that possibly Houston and maybe even Golden State in a series I think all those teams mentioned could beat Minnesota in a playoff series

  6. Mailbag: Hey Jason. Totally hear you on LeBron’s Swiss Army knife ability. As a lifetime “LeBron hater”, I still don’t deny his greatness. I just happen to root for Steph.
My concern for the Lakers is the fact that their big 3 feel redundant. They all feel like players that need the ball in their hands/facilitators/#1’s (even AR, especially with the runway he’s been given the last couple games and how amazing he’s performed). I also can’t erase the Minnesota series from my head and how out-of-wack things felt with the 3 of them playing together. Lakers feel like they’re off to a great start this year, and it’s always without 1-2 of those 3 on the floor. Is there any chance that due to redundancy, these 3 could possibly be getting in each other’s ways on the court? (Or like you said, am I just overthinking?)

Appreciate all your insight! It’s super helpful to watch your videos and learn about ball/critical thinking/life from you.

(Also, while I’m at it, why are the Spurs lying about Wemby’s height??? Ain’t no way the alien is 7’5”, he TOWERS over Edey. Way more than an inch. Would it be detrimental to Wemby’s career if they reported it accurately? Like the negative health implications for an extremely tall human being or something? I just don’t understand the discrepancy between height on paper versus what we see on the court.)

  7. Mailbag: If the Lakers would trade AR for a 3 and d wing players who are specifically would fit the Lakers needs right now at that position?

  8. MAILBAG: hey Jason, thank you for your work for SYDNEY AUSTRALIA. Going into the next era I feel like things are taking shape in regards to the power hierarchy for the league. Jokic and Wemby feels like it could be the new LeBron Kobe. Shai and the Thunder feel like the old Tim Duncan and the spurs. So my questio, if you had to pick, WHICH PLAYERS OF THIS OR THE NEXT GENERATION ARE A CHANCE OF GOING RINGLESS (LETS SAY FROM THE 2018 DRAFT ON). Ant? Luka? Trae? Zion? Ja?

  9. Mailbag: Hey Jason, absolutely love and appreciate your content. Would love to see the day when you're siting across the table from Stephen A. Smith on ESPN!

I'm a huge Steph fan. My top 5 all time is Jordan, Bron, Kobe, Shaq, and Curry. In that order.
Ironically that would also be my top team of all time. Might exchange KD for Kobe. Crazy roster either way.

If we somehow get Warriors VS Lakers in the 2026 western conference finals where everyone is healthy and playing at their best.
What do you think it would do for either Steph's career or LeBron's career if either win being the clear best player on their team and go on to win the NBA finals and hold up that Larry O'Brien trophy?

Also, for all those lakers fans geniuses that believe you're better withon Bron… you don't know basketball. Pluck Bron off the Lakers and drop him on the Warriors and watch them cook the league. Assuming everyone is healthy.

  10. Mailbag: have you seen a guy with such a discrepancy like AR is experiencing…he is the 3rd best player…but so good he can be the difference in them winning or not….doesn't sound like a 3rd best player anywhere else

  11. yes lebron coming back definitely helps the team. the problem for team building next season is the salary lebron and AR is going to command – they are both going to command max money and it's not feasible win a championship to pay 3 max players + min players for the rest of rosters, especially when 2 of the players overlap in their role (Doncic and AR are both elite guards but not above-average defenders)

  12. Our defensive rebounding is atrocious…. LeBron and Luca will help that so much. 😊
As a LeBron fan, he’s not winning the MVP if we go to the championship if he could play A Draymond Green or Dennis Rodman role, I don’t see how we can lose
I thought 100% our issue after we traded for Luca was at our center with Jaxon Hayes… when he first started, he wasn’t even a backup center. He was like a third string center. 😅😅

  13. Love AR as a person and player. But I will stand on that mountain top that the lakers need to trade him for different piece(s). Defensively you cant afford to have luka and AR

  14. my hate for lebron comes from his part time social justice warrior stance. hes a hypocrite

  15. MAILBAG:
Hi Jason, Detroit's had a decent start to the season but the W against Orlando might've set off a catalyst to jumpstart our sluggish half-court offense – go back to using Cade in the post. In an episode last season, you've mentioned how hyper-efficient he is with that baby hook shot (eye test backs that up) but it also cuts down on his turnovers compared to when he initiates from a high PnR or drag screen. Combine that with Duren's increased aggressiveness on dribble drives from the high post, and Ausar's increased ball handling responsibilities, we just might have enough aggregate ball-handling/initiation to craft an average offense until Ivey returns. My question is 2-fold: do you think this approach is sustainable & how would you defend against Cade back-downs, especially given he's really the only true big PG in the East? Thanks as always for your content

  16. MAILBAG: I agree with your assessment of Lebron's value. However I would love to see him in a Manu Ginobili rôle off the bench. Reduce his minutes slightly to ensure he is fresh for the post season, bolster the second unit offensively while making it even more dangerous defensively. He would still be a closer, but I think that with Luka usually being in attack mode from the get go in matches means LeBron is less needed at the start of a match. Your thoughts?
