Joe Mazzulla on Celtics 0-3 Start, Rebounding Issues | Postgame Interview 10-26 (FULL)

The Detroit Pistons held off the Boston Celtics 119–113 on Sunday, handing Boston its third straight loss.

Joe Mazzulla reflected postgame: “What matters is just like making sure we continue to stick to the process of trying to win. We had a 17-point lead today. We got to close the second quarter better.

We played a complete game with an effort. Now we got to play a complete game with effort and execution.”

  1. It kills me about how fickle fans can be. We have a whole new team that's playing together for the first time. They will be better it's a process. They will figure it out! Stop the damn bashing. Smh

  2. This man doesn’t call plays and doesn’t put his players in the best position to score !! He’s not a good head coach he doesn’t adjust.. it’s all 3 pointers and one on one basket of the shots not falling what else can you do ? His style is played out golden state did this almost 10 years ago lol it’s old use your athleticism… if he has Shaq he wouldn’t play him because he couldn’t shoot 3s

  3. Birdbrain got humbled real quick after not having a stacked team this time. I've been saying this dude ain't him since the day he stepped foot as a coach.

He only won a championship due to a stacked team and a great coaching staff. He's nothing without Charles Lee and JVG who carried him behind the scenes.

  4. I remember when we only had 15-20 losses a year, and we still had people calling for Joe's head after every one of them. It's going to be a long year listening to netizens who don't have a fucking clue what they're talking about.

I don't know what some of you guys don't understand about shared responsibility. If you're dead set on dismissing Joe's success based on having stacked roster, then you have to hold the our current shit roster accountable for their failures.

If you're not going to give Joe credit for the wins, then you've got no right blaming him for the losses. You can't have it both ways, he's either got a hand in all of it, or none of it.

  5. Hmmmmmm… i KNOW i already have a hard time rebounding, but let me launch FORTY-FIVE three's when I know I'm already thin in the front-court.

SOMEBODY will grab those boards, right ?? Bold strategy Cotton….😭

  6. As everyone can see, defensive rebounding is killing us. Don't know the fix other than a trade for a rebounder. But who ???

  7. Coach mazzulla just have the guards pass to the Bigs and that will open up everything else. Garza in particular shoots over 60% in the paint. Pass to him and Queta underneath as well as Tillman and walla. These guys need the ball so share it with them. It’s a team game and Boston won’t win without the guards sharing with the Bigs. That will change everything

  8. Lol, welp according to how the nba works now all we need to do is trade jt or Jb then we’ll automatically get the first pick 😂👀ifykyk…

  9. HEY JOE! Sounding a little less arrogant and condescending than the other day, eh? Veteran Bob Ryan and many others will be happy you're getting humbled.

  10. Firing Mazzulla will NOT fix the issue. We have no BIGS. We cant rebound for the life of us. We will start the season 0-7. Tatum should not even try to be back this year. I blame Management for this. We all knew this was going to be a looooong year.

  11. We should have never gotten rid of Luke Kornet.
We could have easily afford him.
He was great in the paint defense, rebounding, and brought energy. He also was starting to catch fire with more playing time, and lastly JB & Derrick White already knew & had great chemistry with him.

Knowing we would lose Porzingis didnt bother me much knowing we had Luke Kornet, but no we got rid of him and AL too
