    Mamu is useless on defense too. We will get abused by every team with decent bigs and or a good coach. We are like Boston.

    I tired to warn you about Jakob in the pick in roll. That’s why we lost to Milwaukee and in Dallas was a non factor. He can’t gaurd or switch on gaurds and can’t block shots. He’s a good finisher and rebounder but he’s a bench player but you payed him before RJ is crazy to me.

    Quickly needs to go. If you can’t hit open shots and don’t play defence you gotta go. Barnes should be the PG and you need to give him a Centre that can shoot. Letting go Mitchell was a mistake.

    The Austrian Centre is a bum. I hoped Chomche would be the centre of the future. I wonder what Masai is thinking at this time

    At the moment, I really don't mind who reads the riot act or condemns this Toronto Raptors franchise. It's getting sickening what they are becoming. First, it's been 5-6 years since we have seen a balanced Raptors lineup. We carry too many wing players on a 6'8/6'9 project that celebrates physical attributes over IQ and know how to play. We have a top 5 pick in Barnes, in year 5, and don't really know what we have, but he gets 30+ million a year. Since 2020, when we dropped Ibaka and Gasol, this team has struggled at the center position. It's a problem because this team likes to run, but you have to rebound to start the break and you can't if you don't rebound. It also matters cause the Raptors pride themselves on defense first, well a defensive possession is not complete or successful unless you actually rebound the basketball. Poeltl is not enough at the center.

    Also, fans should be pissed about last year before the unethical but so-called ethical tanking began when we legitimately had injured players. The Raptors lost a bunch of games by less than ten. They were competitive, just needed bodies. Then, the rotation of players in and out of the lineup to deliberately lose games to wind up, not even getting a top 10 draft pick was horrible. Fans had to pay to watch third-string players for most of the season, and it's not appropriate.

    The Raptors are not good enough when 100% healthy to have perfect chemistry and play error free ball. This team can't make free throws, can't shoot consistently from three, or play well in a half court offense, they can't rebound at the defensive end, and they toss the ball away way too often. That was true last year, and it's rearing its ugly head this year even with a mostly healthy roster. With a youngish roster, these players need to play as many games as possible, and paying fans deserve to see the best you got every night. So right now, every error, every failure in player development, every loss, every mistake in judgement that the Raptors franchise makes deserves to be scrutinized immensely by anyone who cares to state the obvious. Should this team fail to be a top 6 six in the East this season, heads should roll on the management side of things.

    I still feel really good about this team, but IQ might be holding the Raptors back. The good thing is that we know if RJ doesn't get into foul trouble, this is a thriller late in the 4th quarter. Once he had to come out in the 3rd quarter, the Mavs cooked. I like what we've seen from Ingram, Scottie, and Mamu so far, so we need to build on that and go from there. Maybe look at the formula we had on Wednesday in Atlanta, where we allowed Gradey Dick to cook off the bench. Defense is a huge problem right now and height depth in the front court. I'm not worried because these are things that can sorted out through various trades and scheme changes. Our biggest thing is staying out of foul trouble and keeping a healthy team on the floor. We got the Mavs at the wrong time, too, they played like a desperate 0-2 team. We might actually get the Spurs at the right time tonight, as the Raptors play as the desperate team as most people are expecting Wemby to kill us tonight, and that will likely happen, but the Spurs may lay an egg and lose at home.

    every player right now is not put in "positions to succeed". This coach is praising scorers to make a good pass, passers being praised on taking shots (bad ones). For a development coach, i see 20+ minutes from vets, no CMD minutes, Jakobe isnt even on the roster. As good as your roster looks on paper, if the coach doesnt use them for their skills this team is hot trash. Let me dumb it down;
    RJ should score instead of pass,
    BI should score.
    IQ should facilitate, make a pass.
    This offense tries to pass like the '06 Spurs, but it just looks like a bunch of headless chickens running around till someone (usually not a scorer) chucks the ball.
    Still like this team, but the coach or whatever schemes are going on makes me hate what's going on.

    I like IQ, but I wasnt a fan of him for US! We need to play AJ Lawson more. We do need another rim protector.
    Scottie did great but he's gotta be a CONSISTENT threat from the 3.

    I don't think this style is sustainable, I see a lot of injuries coming. It's almost like Darko wants playoff intensity, energy and defense all season long which is going to break our own ankles. 3rd game in and BI tweaked a thigh, Scottie tweaked a calf…. When the game slows down it's almost like everyone forgets how to play fundamental basketball because they are trying to force pace instead of score the bucket.

    poeltl is the WAY bigger issue. Everyone mad at Quick for missing shots, hes been great everywhere else. Hes in a shooting slump, and when he breaks out of it, you can all eat your words

    Need a real PG. give the starting job the JS. He has more assists than IQ. In 10 games we can predict which way Raptors heading. Players struggling to create the offensive. Rotation problem. Big $$$$players need to sit on the bench. Bench mob can do better job than this starters. Bench IQ and try, may get some wins.
